Summer check in WEDNESDAY ...7/20/05

Good morning.

I made it thru KPC (20 min. cardio) & L&G's. My legs are in for a rude awakening. I'm sticking to my schedule this week and it is definatley working me out good!:7

Going for a haircut later this morning and have to pick up a cake and sobriety coins for a celebration at my home group tonight. A very good friend of mine is celebrating 9 years and a new guy w/ 1 month which is awesome. The humidity is going down today so it won't be too bad running around.

Did you guys see the BC thread? I hope my DOMS don't kill me today so I can do it tomorrow!

Hey Kali!

I am doing KPC tonight. My favorite workout as everyone knows by now. LOL! I would do Boot Camp tomorrow, but being sick for a few days messed up my routines so I got to go with slow and heavy for upperbody on that day to catch up.
I love your "workout" thread. You will have to keep posting different ones...maybe I can do the next one you post. Great idea!
BTW, humidity is terrible here today. Glad I will be inside cleaning. Just yucky!

Good Morning Ladies.

Today is Step and Intervals day. Tomorrow is Boot Camp. }(

Next week I will use both of my circuit days (if I have the energy, that is!) to try out the Terminator work outs. Then I will do the third one the following week. Catheites say these work outs are even toughter than BC..I can't imagine that but I guess I'll find out, won't I? lol

Have a good time tonight, Kali. Hearing about people's successes quitting ANY kind of addiction is AWESOME! Tell your friends I said Congrats! I mean it! :D

I have decided that clean eating is not my style, nor is it working for me as there are some parts of a "clean" diet that I simply can not deal with...ie-no sugar. I hate sugar substitutes BLECH! x( and to go *completely* w/o sugar is an impossibility for me! Therefore I have decided to stick with what worked for me 3 years ago when I lost 15 pounds and kept it off until I got pregnant. Low fat! :) As of today that is what I will be doing with my eating. (No lectures, please! :p) I have 15+ pounds to lose and I have yet to lose any of it! No more wasting time on things that just don't work for me! I mean business now! lol :7

Today it will be cardio with weights-just the cardio section. I need to watch what I eat today because I am going out to eat tonight and I want to be able to enjoy. I might try to get a walk in also today with my little guy. I hope eveyone has a great day.
 
Good morning, ladies:

Last night I did Kickmax minus the cardio blasts. I was just too overheated (working out at my SO's condo here in NJ - limited space and the air conditioning has not been working well). I hate that, though!

Tonight is Yoga Booty Ballet and I might add on the leg conditioning drills from KM again.

Tomorrow I can't do BC because I'll be in transit, so I am going to try to do it either Friday or Saturday.

Hello everyone!

This time I DID remember to make it to the lab! :D I just got home after stuffing my face with a breakfast sandwich and running errands, and now I am going to do PUB. If I'm feeling good afterwards, I MIGHT run for 20-30 minutes (we'll see). Then, it's on to more packing and cleaning. I'm so psyched, though, because my piano is going to be delivered tonight to our new house!!! I haven't had a piano in any of my dorms/apts over the last 6 years b/c we haven't had the space (and always lived on the 2nd floor). But my parents are letting me have the one from their house and I can't wait!!!! I've missed having one, that's for sure!

OK, I'd better go work out now before it gets too hot in here - right now we're having a mild "cool front" inside at 75 degrees (and rising)! Have fun everybody!!!

How was the mountain, Charlotte?

This morning I did Step Blast and 30 minutes of L&G - I didn't want my legs to be fried tomorrow so that I can do BC!!

I'm finding that I am not eating enough to keep up with these workouts so I am trying to creatively and healthily increase my calories. creatively because i don't want to by much food since I am moving next Friday.

Padme, enjoy dinner tonight.

Cleo, how long have you played piano? I took lessons for a short time as a child but I doubt I could play today. I think I goofed off more than I practiced.
I'm glad to see we have 2 musically talented people in our group - Kali (guitar and Cleo (piano. Does anyone else sing or play a musical instrument?

I took lessons for about 8 years when I was younger, and I've always loved playing. Since I've only been able to play somewhat sporadically at friends' houses, etc., I'm probably a bit rusty! :D My dream house (which I won't be able to afford unless one of DH's numerous lotto tickets pays off!) will have a music room with nothing in it but a fireplace, floor-to-ceiling windows, beautiful hardwood floors, and a Steinway baby grand - I can dream!

I just finished PUB and the abs from C&W (love that ab w/o), and I can finally match Cathe on ALL the tricep and biceps work!!! And, uh yeah, my arms feel like wobbly jello! }( I'm so glad to be working my upper body again! The stitches seemed fine, so count me in for BootCamp tomorrow!

Way to go Wendy following thru!:7 LOL! And thanks I will tell my friend Congrats from you. That is so sweet! I love that ab section too. It is tough for so short! Like me.:7 I think you're doing the right thing by doing the "eating plan that is right for you" everyone is different. You do what works for you.

Great workout Jess. The L&G's from Fittv is 40 min. so I did all of it. I am NOT looking forward to Bootcamp tomorrow. I can't believe how many are joining us! Like Cathe says about the step hop repeater in RS, "it's so cool". It's hard eating healthy calories and enough of them isn't it? Do you go on Fitday?
