Happy Monday Girls!

How was everyone's weekend? I did laundry all weekend. Thank God I am finally done.
It feels great to be back to normal. DH is gone to work, the kids are still sleeping and I can get back to "my" schedule.

I am going to start Freestyle today so I'm going to do my legs, cardio, then upper body.

Ok. I'm told lower body should be worked 4-6 days, upper 3-4. If we work total body every day, we need to use really light weights, because there is a better chance of injury if you do total body every day. That's why it's good to split it up. I'm going to figure something out using the guide Carole gave me. I'm going to go light on my legs and a little heavier on my arms and see how that goes.
Next time I'm at the mall I'll have to get a book.

What's everyone up to today? Have great workouts girls.

Hi Girls!

Thanks for the guide, Kali! I've been trying to do my own freestyling but nothing compares to the expert (Carole's) opinion.

Vacation is always nice but sometimes its even nicer to get back into your normal routine.

Ok, so last night I bought a mp3 player and downloaded a bunch of workout songs on it. I also got an armband so I can wear while working out and not worry about it falling and breaking! There is nothing stopping me from working out today! I have a busy day today so I am going to run this morning and depending on how productive I am today I may do some lower body tonight.

Last week I did Imax and was worried about my knees b/c my carpet is really plush. Since I already have knee problems I think I am going to buy those puzzle mats everyone talks about - except they are so expensive!! I'm going to keep an eye on Ebay.

Hi Kali and Jessica

Today is the fitness fiesta for me from august rotation. I also plan later to do mic as I get the dvd today! Sheesh could I be anymore excited?:)

You know Kali I will use the rotation for the 5 days I am on vacation that you sent me. After that I would be afraid to lighten the weights for upper body. I have great definition there and would hate to lose it. I have Big biceps from lifting heavy. Do you think going light on upper will get/keep the definition? Lower body I am not so worried about as I work it frequently and I don't think going lower would hurt.

Jessica-Good luck on finding some puzzle mats. Let us know if you find a great deal!

Hello to everyone who comes later

Terri

Hi Terri and Jess!
It's soooo good to be talking to you guys again! Man.:7
I'm going to go light on the weight for my legs and as heavy as I can for upper body especially Bi's. I believe we have to be careful if doing really heavy weight every day especially w/ the shoulders. That's what I've gotten out of it. You should ask Carole or look up some old threads there are tons of them lately. I don't want to give you wrong information. And I honestly don't know how heavy is really heavy.

Jess, glad you got your MP3 player. That's next on my list. Then I won't need to be near a CD player everytime I want to do freestyle. I'm always dropping my portable too. I'd get the mats when you can. Knees are nothing to screw with. Have fun finally working out!!:7
Terri good luck with Fitness Fiesta. I quit the rotation but I am tempted to do that. Maybe the end of the week I will. Maybe you should e-mail Carole and tell her your shape and stuff and ask her what would be best for you. She's a wonderful, helpful Lady! Then you'll know for sure what the hec you should be doing!

Terri, just wanted to post in order to let you know that I love the hi/lo of MIC and the blast at the end of step. Sometimes I skip the first step segment b/c it is slower and after all that hi/lo I want to keep the energy high. But it is a great workout and I hope you have fun doing it today!
