Summer check in...Monday, 6-27-05

Hello Girls and Happy Hot Monday.x(

It is 8:15 here and it's already 80degrees. Humidity is gross.

I went for a walk this AM. DH took today off so we pitched our tent last night slept in the backyard. There's a lot going on outside while we sleep. More than we know.

Last night I did PUB. 1st time I got thru biceps w/ 10lbs. as my heaviest weight.(that's a lot for me) Can't even imagine using anything higher than that. Also did 2 cardio segments from C&W. I'll tell you what, after doing a wo w/ weights, I feel pooped. But I get thru that little bit of cardio & I feel awesome! Even the next AM! I thought I wouldn't be able to move the 1st time I tried it.

Think I'll do L&G later. I hate the thoughts of that workout, but I feel sooooo good once I'm thru it.}( Anybody else have one of those?

Good morning, ladies!

Sheesh, this weather makes me feel so BLAH. I swear I can barely get out of bed in the morning.... maybe I'll just blame Paris. :)

Today I am going to do S&H chest/back and then 30 minutes of step cardio... not sure which workout yet!

Kali, I sometimes dread workouts, too... particularly the tough lower body workouts! Those squats and lunges are the best thing for your body, but man they are TOUGH!

Hi all

I also hate lower body workouts, Marie. Those squats and lunges get to you. Give me upper body any day. In fact this morning I did Imax2 then PUB. Kali, I don't know how you do weights then cardio. My arms feel so heavy right now.

I just saw that BootCamp is on schedule for Wed. I have only attempted this w/o twice and neither time did I make it even half way through. I'm thinking I may do BodyMax instead and do BootCamp next week when I am supposed to do BodyMax (and am hopefully stronger).

Hi guys,

I hate to say it but I haven't done anything since L&G on Saturday. We just had to put my grandfather in a hospice, so I've been spending most of my time there :( (He has ALS = Lou Gehrig's Disease)

Anyway, my goal is to get up a little earlier tomorrow AM and get the exercise in before the heat is unbearable and other commitments pop up.

Kali, Marie, Jessica - I'm still amazed that you guys can do weights AND cardio in one session! I'm usually too pooped after just ONE w/o that I can't imagine doing TWO! Jessica, don't fear BC!!! I know it's tough (and I usually have to seriously tone down some of the cardio cycles), but like Cathe says, "You can do anything for a minute!" And yes, I do watch that clock!!!}( Seriously, though, I think I love it the most because I know my legs are getting an awesome w/o on top of the cardio - and the core work (don't get me started . . .)

Send me energy vibes tomorrow around 5:30 AM!!!}( :D

Cleo, I'm sorry to hear about your grandfather. That must be really hard for you and your family. I'll keep your Grandfather in my prayers.
You're doing what you need to do right now so don't feel bad if you missed a few workouts. I'll be getting up around 5:30 too so the vibes will be in the air! I like to work out before it gets too hot plus it frees up my day.
Feel free to email me anytime if you need someone to talk to but don't feel like posting. Sometimes I feel that way and end up keeping it to myself.
Well you hang in there. And have a good workout in the morning!:D
