Suggestions for fat loss/weight loss?

I recently had a body composition analysis done, and body fat is right around 25%. Not a big surprise as I've gradually had trouble fitting into my clothes. I would like to get to somewhere around 21%. Other info is 5 feet 5 tall, 129/131 pounds. Any suggestions? I've put on about 8 lbs since last fall. I try to eat clean, but in all honesty, could probably do with a LOT less chocolate & wine, LOL!

I have these Cathe DVD's:
Body Max 2
Butts & Gutts
Low Max
Muscle Max
KPC/Legs & Glutes
Timesaver
4 Day Split
Cardio & Weights
Low Impact Step/Total Body Sculpting
Boot Camp/Muscle Endurance

Also have Jari Love Ripped to the Core and 10 Minute Solution Pilates on the Ball.

Any advice, suggestions, or "been there, done that" / "am there, going through it" stories are appreciated!

Sounds like you already know what you have to do- you just aren't ready to do it! And who could blame you? Chocolate and wine are two of the greatest things in life. You just have to decide if feeling great feels better than chocolate and wine taste.

Hmmm.. those are my weaknesses also. I'd reduce the quantity or frequency and not try to give them up. I have one small piece of good dark chocolate very night... about 1/4 ounce. I get the individually wrapped ones so quantity is clear. It keeps the craving in check. Same with wine. a little more than 1/4 ounce but limited quantity. I've given up lots of other things totally, but those two are too important to me.

A couple of thoughts: :)

1. Start tracking your calories. Don't give up anything yet...just keep track and see how much you normally take in each day. (You can use a free online program.) Then once you get a firm number, start cutting calories a little bit. Nothing huge. Maybe 200 calories less a day. You can still work your chocolate or wine in there, but they have to be counted. See if that makes a difference.

2. Whatever you're doing with your workouts, try doing something a bit different now. If you're weight training a lot but not doing as much cardio, up the cardio. If the reverse is true, up the weight training.

It's all one big, annoying experiment, isn't it? ;)
