There is so much junk in the office (homemade peanut brittle, candy, cookies) and more to come later this week. Not to mention the stuff I've made myself for guests! Help, I'm drowning in sugar!!!
I don't have much in the ol' liberry but one of my employees has shared some wonderful homemade cookies that I enjoyed without an ounce of regret. :9 :9
I've managed to dodge all the sugary treats at work, but my DH's high school students always bombard him with chocolate this week. By Friday, I'm going to be in real trouble! ;-)
Oh man, me too. I mean I don't have an office being a stay home mom, but I bake cookies and make candy like a fiend during December.
My husband and I have decided to go cold turkey from sugar at the first of the year, taking the kids with us. We are all addicts. It will be really ugly around here for a while.

I just volunteered as PTSO member of my daughter's High School and distributed enormous plates of cookies we mums had all baked to all the staff and teachers in their different department offices, and as they all approached me moaning with anticipatory delight, I felt like doing them all a favour and sprinting off down the corridor to dump them all in the nearest bathroom and flush!!!
Oooh, I gotcha all beat! I started baking before Thanksgiving and haven't stopped. PLEEEAAASE, someone help me! LOL
I do have a confession though.........I quit smoking the beginning of November so the freaking sugar demons are after me big time. I'll be fine after the holidays, but until then, well.........aahhh, forget it, I'm in hell right now x( ;-), LOL.
it will get better it will get better it will get better
Boy you're not kidding. I was doing so well this week and then yesterday I stumbled onto the cubicle with all of the Christmas breakfast leftovers...which of course, had nothing clean in it. I overdosed on chocolate chip cookies, which by the way, were so yummy.
Hang in there, Sally--I quit smoking at 2 years clean and sober (16 years ago) and it was one of the hardest things I've ever done. But soooo worth it.
Thank you SO much for the encouragement!!! That is very sweet of all of you. I know I can do it because I feel sooooooo much better now. I'm not coughing up a lung anymorex(, I can breathe better, sleep better, my workouts are better and, well, everythings better. Our 5 year old grandson was so happy when I told him I quit, he tells everyone...........he's so cute .
Again, thank you for your support!! You guys here ARE the greatest!!!
I hear you Robin! There is so much junk here at the office, it isn't funny! And of course I am so bored this week that all I can think about is eating. My family is begging me to make some of my vegan chocolate chip cookies for Christmas, so I'll have those tempting me this weekend... The recipe is from "Vegan World" and it's wonderful/sinful!
I've been doing so good up until yesterday when I had 5 dozen cookies here for DH to take to work (I stole 2 of them. Shhhhhh...don't tell anybody), and then a box of petits fours were delivered right to my door, like a gift from satan himself. http://www.millan.net/minimations/smileys/evilgrin.gif
To much of that stuff and it sucks the energy right out of you.
