STS 2.0 / Lift, Move & Restore 2-Month Rotation

I'm half-way through this rotation, and thrilled to say it's making a difference! I feel stronger (I'm lifting heavier, too), I have improved mobility, and my core/hips/glutes are feeling overall better - more balanced and alive, if that makes any sense. I haven't lost weight, but I'm feeling more athletically fit. I may keep repeating this rotation, with tweaks for variety, until the new LMR Elevate comes out, with the additional heavy weight routines. That's me set for life :-D

Please let us know your results after completing week 5, 6 and 7. After those single part weeks.

I am starting this rotation tomorrow.

I've completed the 2 month rotation! That in itself impresses the heck out of me - I don't remember the last time I completed a rotation LOL! I did find the single body part weeks difficult to stick with, as they're such time-hogs. I also added on the bonuses when I could. However, the results are exactly what I was looking for. I'm moving better, my mobility has increased, my core is stronger, and I have more visible muscle definition. I would love to keep going like this! Unfortunately I also get bored very easily, and I need to get away from STS2 and LMR for a bit. I've decided to focus on cardio and endurance for a bit - the complete opposite of what I've been doing! I tried Fit Tower Advanced Bootcamp last night for the very first time and my lack of cardio/endurance training was immediately made apparent! So that'll be my focus for the time being. I'm really looking forward to the 4 heavy weight workouts that are being produced during the filming of LMR Elevated.

Thanks for sharing your view on this rotation.

I am enjoying it so far:)

The icons are there now, but I don't see this rotation in "rotation from another user" in the WM.
How do I find it to download? I haven't downloaded a rotation for years, so maybe I forgot how to do it? So, if someone can point me to it, or tell me how to get to it to download, I'd appreciate it! Thanks in advance!

That's what I'm looking for.

Thanks for sharing your experience, @FiddleFit

I'm currently on Week 4 right now. So far I'm enjoying it, though it's definitely not as intense as I remember the original STS 2.0 12-week rotation being. Of course that's to be expected with so many LMR workouts mixed in.

This rotation has been a good way for me to ease back in to a more active regimen, though. The STS 2 workouts give me a good oomph during the week while the LMRs are in there helping me to not just flake out and do nothing because I'm tired from the previous day's STS 2 workout. ;)

On my last week of this rotation. I think this is a great transitional rotation if you're coming off a period of general inactivity (like me - I'd been pretty touch-and-go with my exercise the last several months before this rotation). It has enough challenging days mixed with recovery days to not overwhelm a person. And the challenging days can be really challenging if you're making sure you're pushing yourself to go as heavy as you can.

I think the only thing I've found I'm not keen on with this rotation is the Barre workout the day following Giant Sets during week 8. Yes, you go really light with Barre, but some of the lower body balance moves are pretty demanding on the lower body (especially the last one with the forward-leaning ball squeeze). My legs were already feeling Jell-o-y from Giant Sets the day before. They'd just about had enough coming down the last reps in the forward-leaning ball squeeze.

This rotation is easy enough to modify, however. If I do it again, I might swap the week 8 mobility workout with the Barre workout, for example.

Regardless, I feel like I'm much better prepared now to move into my modified 12-week XTrain rotation. I've been having more days where I'm feeling more energized which means the increase in cardio from XTrain isn't going to feel like too much. And I've reminded my muscles what they're capable of with the really heavy strength training from STS 2.0.

Next week is a rest/recovery week. I'm going to do all the workouts from Sara Ivanhoe's 20 Minute Yoga Makeover set. It has 6 workouts that are only 20 minutes and overall pretty gentle. Will be a good mini-break from a Cathe-heavy focus.

HI. I have tried put the rotation on the workout manager rotation page, titled Cathe's STS2+LMR1.. My workouts start on Tuesdays, so you will have to adjust the date. Let me know if it needs tweaking.
