Sore traps

workoutaholic

I did the first leg workout from Meso 2 yesterday, and did only the first ~ 30 minutes (well, I did calves too) with my workout card weights. So with squats, I used 30 lb. dumbbells, for the plie squats I used one 30 lb. dumbbell, for deadlifts I used a 65 lb. barbell, so you have an idea of the weights I used.

Well, my traps are almost as sore as my legs today! So I just wanted to know if that can happen even if you have really good form and you're holding heavy weights over and over, or if maybe I was tensing up in the trap area and not even realizing it?

Does this happen to any of you? Thanks, just want to make sure I'm not going to hurt myself. ;)

when i did those plie squats i used a 50# dumbbell and MERCY!!!!:eek::eek: my traps/upper back area were ON FIRE the next day! i totally loved it!:p

Those were killer! I remember when I first went down during one of the last sets I was thinking "thank goodness picking up the dumbbell with one hand counts as one rep instead of picking it up twice counting as one rep" - I'd die! : )

Thanks, that's makes me feel better!

Yup!! I get sore shoulders from the leg work in STS, too. Starts in Meso 1, eases up by Meso 2. Those dumbbells are HEAVY to hold by your side!
