Smoothie creations:o))))

1/3 banana
1 cup frozen strawberries
1 cup milk
1/2 scoop protein powder
1 tbsp ground flax seed
sweetener (honey, stevia, splenda)

or

2 kiwi
1 cup frozen pineapple
2 Tbsp coconut
1/3 banana
1 cup milk
1/2 scoop protein powder
1 tbsp ground flax seed
sweetener

or

1 cup spinach
4 stalks celery
1 cucumber
1/4" ginger
1 apple
1 lemon
1 lime

Possibilities are endless

Raspberry Shake
3 TBSP Vanilla Protein powder
1/8 l low fat milk
75 ml unsweetened grape juice
100 g fresh or frozen raspberries (I add icecubes if using fresh berries)
2 leaves basil
3 - 4 leaves of mint

Indian Orange Shake
3 TBSP Vanilla Protein powder
100 g soy yogurt
juice of 2 blood oranges + a little bit of water (or 1 cup of regular orange juice)
2 tsp maple syrup
a pinch each of ground cardamom, cinnamon and white pepper

Kiwi Grapefruit Shake
3 TBSP Vanilla Protein Powder
1 kiwi
150 ml grapefruit juice (or juice of 2 fresh grapefruits)
2-3 leaves mint
2 tsp lemon juice
2 tsp maple syrup
a little water

You can omit the protein powder if you like on either of those but I like the added protein.

That was Jennifermaria. I tried it yesterday, too, and agree it was quite good! Never thought to get spinach in that way.

Thanks for the add'l recipes, everyone.

I don't do anything fancy, but here are some basic 'recipes' for smoothies I've made. Feel free to substitute any fruits you wish:

Glass (= "Magic Bullet" blender cup) of chocolate soy milk, handful of frozen blueberries, handful of baby spinach. (optional additions: chunk of frozen banana, Tbsp ground flax or chia seed).

Glass of plain or vanilla milk of choice (soy, rice, hazelnut, almond, etc), handful of frozen mixed berries, squeeze of agave nectar, scoop of vanilla protein powder.

Glass of chocolate soy milk, 1/2 frozen banana, scoop of maca powder (optional scoop or 1/2 scoop of chocolate protein powder).

Glass of chocolate soy milk + 1 package frozen açaí pulp (thawed: it works best to take the frozen pulp from the wrapper and let it thaw in the glass, to not waste any of it), optional squeeze of agave nectar.

Note: I never use ice in my smoothies because 1) the frozen fruit makes it cold enough for me, 2) I don't like to dilute them. If I get to the bottom of the glass and there's thick stuff at the bottom, I'll swish it with some rice milk or water.

YUM

Yum

These look great ladies...thank you keep them coming can never have enough great ideas:eek:)))

I make smoothies ALL the time, but never thought of adding spinach to them. I'm surprised you can't taste it. I'm definitely going to try this, I don't eat nearly enough vegetables. Thanks for the ideas!
