Slow rewind

Cathe or SNM (or anybody)

It seems that all my Cathe tapes are slow to rewind, since I like to rewind after I work out and I work out in the mornings before work, every second counts - and it seems that it can take two or three minutes (I know, I'm impatient) to rewind some of the longer tapes. Any suggestions?

Thanks

Marian

Get...

...DVD'S!!! Sorry, I couldn't resist!;-) Do you rewind in your VCR player? Sometimes, if you can pick up a VCR rewinder (not a VCR player), they rewind faster. At least the one I have, does. If I remember correctly, they are not too expensive. Hope this helps, Marian. Your-Friend-In-Fitness, DebbieH :)

Record speed...

It could have something to do with the speed the tape was recorded at. If you're comparing your Cathe tapes to the amount of time it takes to rewind a tape recorded at EP/SLP speed, that's probably the reason. Cathe's tapes are recorded at either LP or SP speed, I think (or whatever the code letters are...higher quality than EP/SLP) which uses up more length of tape, so it takes longer to rewind.

I also recommend getting a rewinder -- you can usually find them for under $20. (According to my hubby, it'll help your VCR last longer, too!:)).

I am having the same problem. My VCR is new. Plus I have two VCR's in the house and it does this on both machines!!! SNM any advice?

Thanks for all your suggestions - I am seriously considering a DVD player in the near future - meanwhile I'll try the rewinder!
