Skinny arms

I have been doing a Cathe upper body video with med-heavy weights(like MIS or the PS tapes) once a week, plus another easier tape or gym machines once a week for months. I still have very little muscle tone! If I flex in the mirror in odd positions I can see it, but I want to see it in everyday life. How can I get some tone?? I don't need bulk, just tone.
PS- I know genetics play a role, but my family all have bulky strong arms which are the opposite of mine, so it's tough to tell in that sense.

Hi Lay! Try the slow heavy series, I think you will be pleasantly surprised. Although you may think of Slow and Heavy as a series to add size, with someone who has a harder time getting definition, this series usually does the trick. Good Luck!
 
Another thing Lay- try really concentrating on the negative- or eccentric- portion of the rep you're doing, when training. Let the weight down in a slow, controlled manner. The negative done this way tends to increase muscle size a little more. With the Slow and Heavy series you can't miss.
