Sara Ivanhoe's 20 Minute Yoga DVD's

I am finally making a serious commitment to incorporating more yoga into my routine. I have actually owned this set for several years, but got rather bored rather quickly each time I tried to do it. It seems like it has been taking me longer and longer to recover after my Cathe workouts, and I keep reading about yoga's restorative qualities, so I'm back at it, and with a positive mindset that I am going to enjoy the experience as a supplement to Cathe, and not on a par with Cathe, and have enjoyed the last few weeks and have found that my recovery time doesn't seem as bad as before. I enjoy the fact the DVD's are 20-25 minutes in length, which is where the boredom factor starts to set in, and I enjoy Sara's style...not into "yogaspeak", she presents it from an athletic point of view, which I appreciate. Highly recommend this set for anyone who wants to add a little yoga into your routine.

Update..you can get the series on amazon for like 10 dollars or so!!!

You may want to do some yoga style breathing, its supposed to help with doms if done within 1 hour of the workout. I use a short yoga workout after my runs.

I love these workouts for many of the same reasons you stated: they're short, Sara explains everything very well, she makes you feel comfortable even though you (I!) can't do everything like she does. They're also easy to combine into longer sessions.

I haven't done these in quite awhile -- thanks for the reminder!

Oh, and her Candlelight Yoga is a good one to have, as well.
 
this is a good value if you get the 2 disc set. i like her practices and short is a good way to start. there are also various yoga zones that can be 2-20 min or one longer 40 min practice. something like fat burning,sunrise and sunset, toning workouts etc are pretty good. i have a beginners basics one and i find it a great yoga stretch workout.

i like yoga shakti b/c its has a matrix where you create your own practice. she is a little new agey but its filmed on the beach(even the night time practices are filmed nighttime on the beach with the waves crashing its great). she(shiva rea) also put out some beginners workout but not sure how chaptered it is. that is a great way to start as well just little bits of longer workouts.
