My DH and I are going to a Pirates game on Sunday and we've never been to Pittsburgh before. If any of you live there could you recommend a good place to eat for dinner? Fancy or casual whatever you think is good. Thanks is advance!!:)

No recommendations, since we always ate at my DH's mom's house in Greensburg. But I wanted to tell you to have a great time at the game. I've only been to PNC Park once, but loved it. Wave to Honus for me!

I live in the Pittsburgh area and it is a huge tradition around here
to eat at Primanti Brothers. Its only a few blocks from the stadium
and is located in Market Square. It is a very casual place. They have all kinds of sandwiches and their trademark is to put the french fries and coleslaw on the sandwich. If your're a Pittsburgh Steelers fan you can get the Rothlisberger (sp?) sandwich which is basically a heart attack on a bun, but sounds pretty good if your're a carnivore. Have
fun at the game, the stadium is really nice.

Agree with Maria. I lived in Pittsburgh for four years. The stadium is alot of fun. Primanti brothers is famous for their sandwiches. Pamela's is great, too. Pamela's is better for breakfast food.

I love Pamela's for breakfast. The best pancakes ever :9

We lived in Pittsburgh for 8 years. Our fave restaurant *hands down* is Road to Karakesh, an African-inspired restaurant. It's totally off the beaten path. The front of the restaurant has floor seating where you sit on pillows. It has a Moroccan theme inside. Everything on the menu is delicious!!!!! Its sister restaurant Spice Islands (Asian food) is down the street a couple of blocks and is equally yummy. Fajita Grill is also one of our top faves! It's Mexican food but has a lot of unusual dishes that you won't find in most Mexican restaurants.

Oh my gosh, my mouth is watering for my fave restaurants.

ETA: I forgot to mention that all 3 restaurants are BYOB! (They have a corkage fee, though.)
