Resizing photos

Hi everyone,
I would like to post my picture in my avatar but am not able to so far. I don't want to use a host like Picturetrail, or any of those, so I've been trying to resize my photos. After trying to use Kodak Easyshare, I broke down and downloaded Photoshop. Photoshop allowed me to resize but I still can't use the picture here. Does anyone have any directions on how to do this? I did a search on this forum on resizing and the information I found did not help me. If anyone knows what to do here please respond.

What has worked for me so far is to download pictures from my camera. Then I use Microsoft Picture it 10 and save it to email size from the drop down menu. Then I put I can post it with Cathe's instructions. If the file is to big I have problems. You do not need Picture trail or some other host. Resizing has worked perfectly for me using Cathe's instructions for resizing with my pictures. Keep trying and I bet it works. I have always had dh do it for me and this is a first for me doing it by myself

I used that website and it resized my photo and saved it, but for some reason this site won't accept it. Maybe I'm still doing something wrong I'll try again and see if it works.

DOII............. Maybe I should have been editing the Avatar option instead of the Picture Profile option. O.K. now to work on my calendar. I love all these new options!
