Recommended Type of Step??

My husband got up way too early this morning and wathed me do a bit of Power Max! He says to me in the middle of the workout "You need to get a step like hers." I said (sweating profusely) "what's wrong with my Reebok Step?" He said that Cathe's step 'gives' and mine does not. Now that I think about it, the Reebok step is a very solid step and does not 'give' at all with even high intensity moves. When watching you and your crew, it's as if I can actually see the step compress just a bit with your movements. I can't help but think this would be better for my feet/joints. I do step aerobics 4 or 5 days/week. However, is this differnce enough to warrant the purchase of a new step? If so, what kind? 'The Step?' I welcome your inputs!

The Original Club Step, full size. There's a discussion about it right now on the Open Discussion forum.

Thanks Marie. I read that thread. I see that other like the Club Step due to it's length. I was wondering more about it's feel. The Reebok step is VERY hard. I was wondering if the Club Step has some 'give.' It appears to when watching Cathy & her crew but I wanted to verify this before shelling out more $. I also posted this in the other forum. Thanks!

Spend the extra bucks & get the Original Step. You'll save yourself money in the long run. I had the Reebok step & The Firm High Step so I am not being biased.

Yes, the original club step has give. Given the number of times you do step/week, it warrants your purchase as it will be better for your joints.

Yes, I would agree with that. I never paid attention to that until last night (after reading your post) and realized that my Reebok step is as hard as a rock and probably explains my occasional knee pain in the first combo of PowerMax! The OCS definitely has give and so therefore is likely much easier on the joints....

Good luck!

Awesome! Thanks SO much for your comments you guys. I also saw the post in the other thread regarding the website where you can purchase just the platform alone. I may do this and buy the complete high step separately (or vice versa). It's time to dump the fanny lifter too!
