Questions for those using Clx and ordered Sts...

My husband surprised me with the Chalene workout program, not realizing that I haven't received the STS yet. I am expecting the clx some time next week. I plan to follow the STS series for 6 month, and now I want to incorporate Clx. Is it feasible to alternate each week of Sts with a week of Clx? I really want to start with the STS series because I have been waiting for so long, but the CLX series has peaked my interest. In fact , I planned to purchase it after completing the STS program, sometime in June. Now I am really confused as to which program to do first, any suggestions? Thanks, Veronica

Hi grad2010, I think maybe the answer depends on what your goals are?

I really don't know about alternating weeks, but if you would be willing to do one program and then the other later...maybe if you wanted to lose weight (don't know if you need to) as your primary goal you could do CLX first. I've read tons of threads and most agree that CLX will primarily be a fat burning program, with some muscle development. I'm not sure about the weight loss effects of STS, but you could do STS first if instead your primary goal right now is to build some muscle/strength.

Hopefully some others can chime in, too. I am on my 3rd week of CLX (really like it) and I think I am going to do the whole thing before I move on to STS. CLX combined with good eating is working for me to lose weight right now.
 
I think you would be defeating the purpose of both programs by combining them in that fashion. I am currenting doing CLX and will start STS after that. I might just do 2 months of CLX and then start STS and then back to CLX again after....

But they are really meant to be done as a program - in what I think would be at the very least 1 month increments. Not switching every other week....

My plan is to do STS as intended.... see results....THEN do a 3 month CLX...Note results.... THEN if I want to combine them & P90X & X+ I can do so.

I dont think you ever truly get the full benefit out of any program unless you do it exactly as its promoted. Just my thoughts.

I have had CLX for 3 weeks knowing full well I'm stopping as soon as STS arrives...SO I am just doing each workout 1x and moving to next phase...I do this knowing full well that I cant expect any type of "Extreme" results tho... I basically wanted to try them all before STS...
 
I'm in the same boat:D I'm starting week 3 tomorrow of CLX plus have a vacation planned mid-Feb so wondering how to fit everything in now that STS is soon on its way and have decided I'm going to do 3 weeks of each phase of CLX and then start up STS.

I initially thought I would do the 6 mo rotation of STS but that puts me into baseball season and I play anywhere from 1 - 3 nights a week.

Decisions, decisions....
 
MommaPew, this is exactly how I'm doing it -- 3 weeks -- because of a vacation scheduled in Feb. Then I want to start on STS. I started my third week of burn yesterday.

Thanks to those who replied. I think I am going to start the STS series and than start the clx later in the summer. Of course it all depends on which package I receive first, probably clx. Now that I think about it, it is probably best to do one program in its entirety and than began another. Once again, thanks to those who replied. Veronica
 
I plan to finish my CLX rotation (I'm mid week 3), then do STS (if I can talk myself into doing the long workouts! CLX has spoiled me!)

I am sooooo wondering if I can do STS on a halfsie rotation.:D:D Must take a look at the list of excercises.
