Protruding vein on breast

Yesterday I noticed a protruding vein on my breast - I'm seeing my Doc this afternoon - I was wondering if anyone had a similar exper? and can tell me oh It's nothing because I'm really getting wiggy here!:-(

My doc ordered a mammogram and ultra sound. I called to make the appt. and they can't see me until mid July!! x( I think I might just worry all month!:-(

Linda -

Is this something that has only been there for a day or so? Is it very hot where you are right now? I know that sometimes a vein here or there sort of "pops" in the heat and it goes back to normal after a day or two. Also, have you hit/bumped/etc. yourself in that area?

I am not an expert at all but I would think that if it were an "emergency" your doc would have made more immediate arrangements for you.

There are lots of health experts on this board so someone will chime in with better advice for you, I am sure

I am on an emergency waitlist- that is if someone cancels they will call the next person on the list. I'm trying to think positive. Thanks for your thoughts.

I hope they can get you in sooner and that nothing is wrong. It is not fun having to wait to have a test done and then having to wait for the results to come back. Hang in there. Hopefully you are not far down on the call list.
