Power Tower!

Hey all...I just wanted to let you know that we went to Dick's Sporting Goods last night and I thought I'd go see if they had any kind of a pull-up/chin-up bar for the new Power90X series. They did! It is called the Deluxe Power Tower. It looks very similar to the one on Tony's site, but may even be a bit nicer?? (Just looks a bit more sturdier to me) The display model was marked $119.00 but I noticed that the one's still in the boxes were marked $99.00. I asked if they would honor that price and they did! It has 6 stations: chin-up, pull-up, push-up, sit-up, dip & vertical knee raise. Assembled, it is 51-1/8 X 43-1/4 X 83-7/8 (LxWxH) It weighs 82lbs. I just thought I'd share for those of you who have a Dick's Sporting Goods nearby and would like to save the $50.00 S/H.

Thanks Debbie! I saw that at Dick's and was wondering if it would be hard to assemble. Was it hard to put together?

Linda, I'll let you know. It is sitting in pieces downstairs as I type! Hubby said he needs to finish painting our TV room first! Waaah! I might be able to change his mind when he sees I have it all laid out for him when he gets home from work! :7 I did ask him last night if it is going to be hard to put together and he said no. Be sure to ask them for the $99.00 price if you decide to get one.

This is the Tower I have. I think Dick's and Sports Authority are somehow related. I got mine for 99 bucks too! Pretty good deal.

I got mine on ebay in Feb. from FogDog sports, and although its not as pretty as some, it does have all the diff stations that the others have, and the best part was they had it on "buy now" for 49.99, and then the shipping was half off!! I got the whole thing, tax, title and license for 60 bucks. I would go check out to see if they are still selling them--and yes, they are brand new.

How does it compare to the Weider 300 at Walmart as in structure as I notice the price is the same? Oh you girls and the way you make me want Stuff! }( ;-)

Okay, the Weider one is 89 pounds. Dimentions are 81x48x26 and is $99.96 but no shipping if one is pretty near a Walmart. Do you think it would be as sturdy as the Linex...the shipping sure is better!

I see the Linex advertises 6 exercises 2 stations.
The only thing I see on the Weider station is "multi postion chin up bar" a dip station, and verticle knee raise.
How does this compare to the stations you all are seeing?

I looked at the Weider300 pictured at the Walmart site and it looks exactly like mine. (Sturdy-wise and same color) The only thing different is that the chin-up/pull-up bar and also the push-up bars are on the opposite side of mine. One item mine has is the 2 footpads that you hook your feet under to do crunches/Ab work, but I don't think that is a neccesity. The quality looks good to me. Saving $50.00 S/H is great too! Soooo Wanda, have I convinced you that you NEED more STUFF??? :7

Deb I called all over the area for the Weider. Seems they only have it on line, at least in my radius. I located a Body by Jake one (details later as the box is still in the garage) but DH says it looked sturdier than the Weider one, just looking at the picture, and it was on sale for $80. We picked it up and so didn't have shipping. It has one roller pad to hook your feet under for the crunches. The display model sure looks tall when put together. I'm going to need a ladder to get up there. LOL

I feel I can get good use from this tower. I can't wait to get it together and start working especially the core. But Deb... I'm running out of room too. If you want me to get something else...please make it smaller. This tower is TALL! LOL

Thanks guys...now I'll be getting a tower. Those are pretty good deals up there and I'm sure to find one either at walmart or ebay, or maybe I'll take a drive to Madison and see if they have Sports Authority or Dicks. Debbie...for a slightly athletically disabled person at present you sure have motivation girl!! I think you'll pull through this JUST FINE.

Ha! I, too, am wondering where I am going to do my workouts now that I have invested in ANOTHER piece of exercise equipment!!! The Power Towers are 80+" tall! Thank goodness it's the height and not the width! I'm not even sure I could fit another dynaband in my workout room! :7 Wanda, let me know what you think. Mine is still sitting in pieces in the basement. We ran nonstop all weekend. I can't wait to try it.

Thanks for the encouragement. This bod is sure taking it's ole sweet time! I figure I might as well hit the UB & ABS good! Good Luck. I hope you find a Tower at a great price. Wanda did great price-wise! Love, loved your pix of the family. The kids are just too cute and you are lookin' good girlfriend.
