I can't believe what I just heard. Dr. Phil( and I use the word Dr. with much disdain) has posted bail for one of the girls from Lakeland who kidnap and beat up a fellow student in front of a video camera.

Is he crazy? How low can you go to gt publicity for your show. Without a doubt, this is one show I won't be watching.

Also, what do you think of the behavior of these teenagers? I hope they do not get away with this kind of bullying. I want them in prison.
 
any little respect i had for him is gone. these girls were old enough to know what they did and they didn't care until reality hit them that they will be doing time. that is when they were sorry when they were threaten with prison. why not pay the medical bills of the victim???? why should her family carry the burden of bills and scars and damaged forever done b/c they wanted a video on youtube. but hey lets bail them out and do a show about their "problems". hey i had a rough childhood of abandonment and abuse and addiction but i never pulled anything like this or took my anger on anybody in this way for no reason.

and its disgusting what the parents of these teens are saying "well they are just kids" and "you don't know the girl i know" bullsh*t.if i pulled something like this my german grandfather would have went hardcore on my butt and tell the judge to throw all the books at me after he was done whooping me.

sorry for those that don't agree but when i moved in with my grandparents i got spanked not beat but a good whap on the a$$ and i had it coming!!! it wasn't traumatizing to me it was to put me in my place when i though i wanted to be a hard-a$$.

I'm totally appalled by this. No matter what the girl was like, beating her is not acceptable. Period. End of sentence.
 
I really used to enjoy Dr. Phil's show. Now I have just two questions for him?

It has been forever since I have seen his show, but wasn't he really big on being responsible for the consequences of your actions?

I personally cannot stand this man. In terms of "doctors" I prefer Dr. Keith Ablow. He seems like a really nice man for some reason. I don't like those types of shows anyway. My least fave has to be the Mike and Juliette show, all they do is focus on negative messed up stuff, and neither of them are smart interviewers.
 
Couple of things:

1.HE did NOT post bail for one of those girls, some of his employees did and they have been reprimanded and, quite possibly, are losing their jobs.

2. He cancelled the plans for the show that he was going to do about the beating of this young girl because he felt those staffers had compromised the integrity of his show.


I am no fan of his(in fact, I have never watched his show) but it is unfair to not accurately state the facts in this situation.
 
Pippa - what you say makes sense.......all except for the part about the Mets! :D

My best guy friend is a Mets Fan. Hubby and I are Braves fans. My friend and his wife met us in Atlanta last year and watch the Braves get swept. I am STILL hearing about that. The funniest part was on the Atlanta subway (MARTA). My friend was talking loud and teasing us about the loss. A very nice man offered me his seat so I could "get away from that loud New Yorker" LOL. I said "thanks but that loud mouth is my friend!!!!!!!" I hate that we lost, but we had a great time. We are meeting them again in September for the Braves/Mets series in Atlanta.
 
I agree with Pippa, and I also agree with those who say his show is pretty bad. But it's kind of like a train wreck. You just can't stop watching once you start! Ugh.
 
I never cease to be amazed at how many people watch these types of shows. I mean really -- I don't get it. I'm proud to say that I've never seen a single episode of his dopey show. I don't watch Oprah either. ICK!

I'm lol at the thought of you and I confined to the same hospital room or something, and fighting over the TV. hehehehe...
