Personal Goals Check-In - August 8, 2005

Is it the 8th? I'm on vacation, so I'm not entirely sure what day it is! LOL

Yesterday was pretty good. Drank TONS of water, made some delicious bean burgers for dinner, didn't overload on the carbs, ate one small sweet (two Arrowroot cookies) and completed the workouts on my rotation.

How's everyone else doing this fine Monday morning?

I usually don't participate in this, but I did hit a mile-stone on my way to a big personal goal in that I did 85 non-stop pushups this morning! These threads will help hold me accountable.
Don't let your age stop you - Just Do It! :)

Water for me yesterday was bad again. x( I was busy again and that apparently spells disaster for me as far as my water intake. I will do good today though. Had glass # 1 as soon as I got out of bed and finished glass # 2 with my w/o this morning...:)

Well, I have to admit that I ate about 1/4 of a thin crust cheese pizza (137 cal a serving, I had about 2 servings) and one Beck's light beer (65 cal). But I really don't feel that guilty because I made myself stop after that and did not binge. That is a huge thing for me.
Other than that, the rotation is going great. I'm down another pound this week, so I am feeling pretty good.

Keep it up ladies.:7

Good morning!

The weekend was.... well... not the best for me. :p I'm having difficulty staying away from sweets. I had a Blizzard on Friday night. And on Saturday, I went to the local orchard and bought freshly-picked peaches and blueberries. That would have been just fine, but I decided to bake something with those fruits. Amazing how quickly healthy fruits can turn into sweets! I made peach-berry crisp, which really wasn't that bad in terms of added sugar content. But I still felt a little guilty. And it was soooo good. Trust me. ;)

As for the Fat Loss Rotation - I'm having no problems sticking with that. I actually went for a run on Saturday, which is something I just don't do. But it was on the rotation, so I made myself do it.

Now, if only I could lose some fat! :p

Good morning ladies. I have to admit my water intake was not so great yesterday either. We had a spur of the moment beach day and forgot everything! Also turned out to be a non-scheduled rest day x(
I have to admit though, I was happy with my swim suit :p
Well, back on track today with High Step Challenge.

Have a great day all of you!

Shelley, bean burgers? Sounds interesting. Are they store bought?
Honey, awesome job! You put me to shame!
Wendy, you are well on your way!
Katie, keep up the good work, and I think that you burned off those calories just by chewing! (wouldn't that be nice?)
Millie, hope you had a great time at the beach!
Emily, that crisp sounds soooooooo delicious! I hope that your guilt doesn't take away from the taste and enjoyment

I hate this word, but I ate like crap all weekend. We went to an amusement park around here and ate elephant ears, cheddar popcorn (yummy!), hot dogs and the usual fair-type foods. I ran yesterday and it was the hardest run of my life. At the end I seriously thought that I was going to pass out! I just keep thinking that in this will soon be a distant memory and my body will forgive me for mistreasting it.

We had great fun though! There was this ride there that my daughter LOVED! She and DS rode it and DH and I watched them and she laughed the whole time! It was so wonderful to see my kids so happy and free! I just wanted to share that! I think that and my DS excitement after he finished his first rollercoaster ride were the highlight of my summer. I will just have to remember this during their next fight which should be....oh, in about 3 minutes!

Have a great day everyone!

Missy

I am doing well, too!
Great job on the run, Emily!
I am sure you looked great in your suit, Millie!
Katie, I had pizza with my kids on Saturday, and I stopped just like you did (also a huge thing for me!)
Wendy, Keep going on the water!
That is a LOT of pushups, Honeybunch1!!
What are Arrowroot cookies, Shelley?

I am on track for my water. I walked 4 miles this morning. I had no sweets yesterday (even threw in some fruit). My DS broke my scale:( It reads 40 pounds for me!! I know that I should not replace it, but I think I need it to keep me on track with my eating. It is just another motivator/reminder to not overeat.

Hi all,

Don't beat yourself up too much about the water just add a bit more today to rehydrate your body.

Emily, that crisp, sounds wonderful, don't feel too bad, and I hope you enjoyed it. Today is a new week and you get to start all over.

This weekend was interesting my SO, took me on a surprise getaway, so I haven't been online very much. I did have a glass of wine, and a very high calorie dinner, but we shared it so it wasn't too bad. I'm sure glad we did or I would have felt bad not being able to eat even half the meal, it was just too darn big. We had a great time at a little resort town, tried to swim in the pool but it was too darn hot. I like pool water about 75 degrees or a little cooler this pool was nearly 90 degrees, you were sweating just floating around. We both gave up as were uncomfortable and decided to go on the hiking trails instead. There was some really gorgeous landmarks, and one lead up to a nature made arch and you could see the water flowing threw it. So I go my exercise in, I still can feel it this morning when I woke up.

Doing ok all in all. yesterday I skipped rest day from my rotation and did bootcamp times two. Today I will run so all is well there.

I cleaned out a bunch of clutter from my office and re-arranged my desk etc. It feels really good in here! Sometime today I will go through my bedroom closet. That should be fun:(

I did cheat a bit on the no sweets. I had some hot tamales. (did you see that Angie? I blame you) :)

You know sometimes I think I would be better off to sit down in my chair and eat everything sweet I crave until I am sick then I won't want it for awhile! Emily mail me some peach crisp!

Terri

Hello ladies! Wow I think I have to start a food journal to keep up with this. I was so busy during the weekend that I couldn't post. I may have to start posting at least once a week. Oh well.

Saturday and Sunday were pretty good except for a little bit of orange juice I drank on both days (about 20+ g of sugar per 8oz) but the rest of my diet was good.

Today so far

Water - gotta drink a little bit more
Salt - Check
No sweets - Check

Must...con..fess....

Ok, I'm doing okay on the Hardcore Fat Loss rotation - but(t) - I'm behind 1 Coremax and 1 Stretchmax. I didn't do diddly max yesterday. And...in spite of my "super clean" low/no carb record for the past few weeks...today I broke down (PMS!) and ate sushi, some peppermint pattie bites, a packet of Oreo "crisps", and a Clif bar. No, not all at once! But that's about as much sugar in one day as I've had in one month!

Other than that I'm doing well enough to not stress out or beat myself up.

Tonight: HSC -- uh, yeah right. Gonna modify with Low Max instead - but I'm going to do *something* -- PMS be gone!

Hi Ladies!

H20 - check!
No sweets - check!
Salty Snax - oops! I had a handful of little round tostitos chips - my bad!
Smokes - oops again - had two (first day back at work. I won't go into the gory deatils of what my desked looked like!).

I'm feeling miserable today...I'm bloated, puffed AND gassy...EGADS! I feel like one of those puffer fishes:eek:

Honeybunch1: Congratulations! That is an awesome accomplishment.

Hoping tomorrow will be a better day for me....

Tammy:eek:

Hi All!

Honeybunch! - That's an amazing accomplishment. I don't think I could ever do that.

The weekend wasn't too bad. I stayed within my calorie limit, but my macronutrients were off of the 40-40-20 that I'm trying to maintain.

I had one of my two cheat desserts on Saturday. I split a hot fudge sundae with a friend after dinner. At least I didn't eat a whole one myself, right?

today:
water - check
4 oz. wine limit - check
entry of foods into fitday - check

I'm doing Ajock's faux CTX rotation and am starting my third week of it. I LOVE it!

Margaret

Hi all- glad to see so many doing great with their goals! Sadly, I too need to confess a sad weekend and Monday for me:( I don't get it, I do so well, lose a few pounds and immediately do something to ruin it= ARGGHHx(

But- enough- tomorrow is a new day and a chance to do well and get back on track. I have still lost about 12 pounds (only 20 more to go:eek: ). I have done well with working out except today- went to Cheescake Factory for dinner (I won't even get into that!) so no exercise tonight!

Have a great day all- and wish me luck. I have to take my ds- 3- for bloodwork tomorrow for his minor surgery next week. He's having tubes put in his ears to help fluid drain so I'm a little stressed about all that.

Jean

Well, my day went from bad to worse. About the only thing that I did right today was have no sweets and drink plenty of water. UGH! I'm so mad at myself! I haven't had a day this bad since I ate a pint of Starbucks Java Mocha Chip and a bag of Krispy Kreme mini cruellers and that was WAY back in May.

x( x( x( x( x( x( x( x( x( x( x( x( x( x( x( x( x(

Congrats to all! Tammy, just chalk it up to BHD (bad hair day):D and move on with your goals tomorrow.
Met all goals except for total calories:(
Leg day & I only skipped one or two reps in the whole CTX legs - good for me!
