Hi Ladies!

I did good yesterday. I went out before eating dinner last night so I grabbed a Zone bar while I was out. I'm trying not to have carbs after 3 which is going really well. Last night was unexpected.
Drank my water, had no sweets or salty junk.

Vacation is Saturday. I have to be strong. I will treat myself but I am afraid I've brainwashed myself into not having anything bad for me. x(

Keep up the water Michelle! :)

No cookie jar for you Shelley!:7:7 Cookies are the devil's food ya know! }( Pie is too Katrina! :7

How's the Aug. rotation going girls? I'm liking it so far......
Talk to me Friday around now and we'll see. x(

Are you going on vacation Tammy?

Have an awesome day! And remember if you're tempted DON'T DO IT!!!
And immediatley check in here where someone can bring you BACK! :)

How are you guys doing??? Three days in, and still doing fine! I had a serious urge last night for some chocolate (TTOM due on Monday) and I kept going through the fridge, freezer, and pantry looking for that brown heaven. Thankfully I didn't have any. I was thinking though, I have been going into the kitchen constantly for the past four hours looking for the same thing, getting the same result, yet I keep doing it. Isn't that the definition of insane?x( I am crazy, you guys!!!!

Hello ladies,

Yesterday was a so-so day. I didn't have any sweets and no desire to! Did my second day of my routine and hoping to stick with it. Hopefully I can do 5 pushups on toes for MM today. It will probably be more like 3! Well lets not mention water! I am having a terribe time with this!

kim

Kim,

Are you drinking anything besides water? If you are drinking cokes or anything, you could sub that with water. You could also make yourself drink at least 12 ounces before you eat everytime you eat. If you eat three meals a day and two snacks, that is 60 oz. All you would have to do is sip water in between. What do you think?

Missy

Hey Missy,

I am drinking crystal light lemonade throughout the day. I want to drink 64 oz of water a day. I have bottled water and I can drink one easily during exercising, but is hard at other times. And I like water!! I guess I need to carry around with me.

Missy I will definitely try your advice!

Ok day three of the rotation and all is well there. I cleaned out one closet last night and I didn't eat any Sweets! So all in all yesteday was good. Lets see how today goes!

Terri

Goooooood morning! :)

Last night, DH went to DQ to get a Blizzard and I did not have one! *pats self on back* But I did have a Clif Builder's Bar yesterday - I was feeling protein-deprived and had eaten enough beans already (if you know what I mean). I suppose it counts as a sweet, even though it's more of a protein source for me. Please don't hit me over the head!!! :p

I'm still following the Fat Loss Rotation - I did Kick Max this morning. The whole thing. It was long. I was late for work. But who cares? ;)

I'm going to get in on this closet-cleaning business too. I did my master bathroom linen closet last weekend - it was a disaster area and now it's sparkling and organized. My BIG task is the guest bedroom closet, which is basically where all the miscellaneous stuff is. It's a large walk-in closet, so I've got a LOT of work to do there! Blargh!

I think this check in idea is great, hope you don't mind if I chime along. I need a bit of motivation. Sounds like so many of you are doing well, and I salute all that are taking on the August rotation. I may need to work up to that one. :)

Yesterday was a great day for me. Had plenty of water, stayed on the healthy eating track. Even declined rice krispy treats at work. Convinced DH to stay home and have a healthy barbeque instead of going out.

My goal this month is to
1. Cut out junk food.
2. Get 5+ fruits and veggies every day.
3. Drink at least 8 cups of water (daily that is, not for the month).
4. I want to brush and floss my teeth immediately following dinner. That seems to work really well for me to call it quits for the night. Hopefully within at least 2 hours before bed.
5. Work out to Cathe of course, which is no problem - that I have down!

Wish me luck.

Hello ladies. So far so good this month (even though it's only 3 days in). The in-laws are coming over for dinner tonight, but I had DH tell them that they are getting Salmon, veggies, sweet potatoes and NO DESSERT!!! They are okay with that, so I feel confident that the night will go well. I just need to stay away from having a beer or glass of wine.x(

Good work so far ladies. Only 28 more days to go.:7

I have decided to drink more water. I used to be great at getting my water in every day but after Joey was born I fell off the wagon and have been drinking a glass during my work out and very little the rest of the day! x( That could be part of the reason why the scale is being so darn stubborn lately!! SOOOO, I vowed to myself this morning that I would work really hard at getting that water intake up. So far I have consumed 30 ounces of water and I am working on another 15 oz glass as we speak. :)

Hi All!

I'm doing so good so far! I haven't fallen off the wagon and am diligently entering my food intake into fitday.com and trying to stay with a 40%-40%-20% breakdown for protein, carbs and fats. This, together with doing Annette's faux CTX rotation, I have FINALLY broken through a year-long plateau! Yipee!!

limit of 4 oz. wine - check
no sweets - check
fitday entries - check

Hello everyone,

Kali, the rotation is going well (I think). All I can say now is I'm very, very sore;( and is it 8/31 yet and have I lost 5 lbs? I'd better after all this;) And yes, the pie is the devil's food but I put it out of it's misery or was that mine?:)

Okay here goes:

1) Got all 8 glasses of h20 in, actually went over a bit.

2) Did wake up at night went to fridge but I drank h20 instead of eating junk. I'm very happy about that, that is definitely progress for me:D .

3)Completed Day 2 of August Rotation.

4) Missed deadline of not eating 2 hours before bed by about 15 minutes. Overall...not bad.

5) Had no sweets yesterday.

Katrina

I know that last week I said I was starting the no sweets early, but it didn't happen :(

I did start on Monday, though. I have not had any sweets this week. It is hard, since we have a huge cake on the counter and even the Pixy Stix are starting to look good (pure sugar)!!

I remember this from June, though. It will get easier (right??).

My computer has been down, so I didn't actually write down any goals yet...

1). Lose 5 pounds

2). Exercise every day (running/walking/weights)

3). No sweets

4). Consume more water (some days are great, others...not so much!!)

That's it since that is all that I feel might be attainable. I am getting my classroom ready for the school year and going on one last quick vacation, in the midst of remodeling our entire house!!!

Have a great day!

Jenn

Hi Everyone,

I made the mistake yesterday of letting my mother pick where to have lunch. She chose Moe's which is mexican food, the good thing was we split a meal, and they made all their food from scratch, as well as you got to tell them excatly what you wanted and how much you wanted on it. So my meal was still under 300 calories.

Other then that, I've been doing the August rotation and loving it. I'm actually find it easier then some of the rotation's I've created though look at the schedule I won't be able to say that for long. But it's been a total blast so far.

Other then the mexican food, my diet has been healthy and very clean, now all I got to do, is bump up the pace a little so I'm fully charged and ready to go, when the challenge of doing the football player's workout that I design comes up and they can do one of my own personal workouts. Or one of Cathe's. >:)

Hi girls! How are you? I was missing the check-ins (silly me I didn't know the title of the threads changed. :p) I haven't had any time to even think about my goals this month, but I think they're pretty much the same as last month with two new ones so I'm going to write them now.

1. new one: time management. With everybody ending their summer vacations and returning to their regular routines, the amount of work I usually have will return back to normal. This means that I'm going to have to make time to exercise. I will do it even if that means not watching my favorite tv shows or being online (which is what I do to relax and stop thinking about all the things I have to do.) I will try to make time to post in this check-in because it has helped me tremendously.

2. Keep drinking water, and checking out my salt intakes and sugar intakes.

3. Keep losing inches (especially in my problem areas). I can't believe how many inches I have lost in my lower body. I still have inches to lose but I'm doing awesome.

4. Keep doing those darn planks. I have improved a lot however; I think segment 2 of Core Max has helped me. I even did PUB today and I only took a rest and missed 4 inverted v's but I did the rest of them :). My arms were the ones that used to hurt a lot which is understandable because PUB works the arms pretty hard and then you have to go immediately to that stability ball segment which is killer, but my endurance has improved a lot and I'm almost there.

5. New one: being able to have Cathe's and Jai's form while doing levitation holds (Core Max segment 1). I'm doing a lot better with this exercise. The first times I tried it I was struggling because I was trying to find a comfortable hand position. I never found a comfortable one, but I found one that allows me to elevate my body (or my booty to be more specific.:+ ) I still have my feet on the floor though and sometimes I leave only one feet on the floor.

Today:

water - check
no salt - check
no sweets - check

It was a good day.

Okay, the 1st day with the new water intake goal is coming to a close and I have SURPASSED my intake goal of 80 ounces! YEAY! :)

Hi all- sorry to have missed the check-in yesterday. I've been doing well with my goals so far. I've been eating clean and carefully. I've managed to drink more than 64oz of water which is big for me because I usually have a hard time drinking enough. AND, best of all, I've now worked out three days in a row - gym on Mon, PUB on Tues. and PLB on Wed. I feel good, a little tired but hopefully I'll get more energy as I keep working out.

Have a great night all:)
Jean

Hi all, still struggling with attaining the correct balance in my diet - too low on protein & high on fat (though most of it is the good kind). No work-out today - no time. All else going OK.
