Hi Deb, Linny, and Josie--

I did Ellen Barrett's Slim Sculpt this morning (45 min.).

Keegan IS the cutest thing I have seen in a long time--and he seems quite aware of just how cute he is. He looks like he's posing for the camera. Glad you could finally get these pics posted for us, Deb. It's fun to watch Keegan as he grows.

Did my highlights yesterday and feel all blondied-up. Linny, I do them every 2-2 1/2 months. Do you still have any highlights after a year? That work situation--suddenly being flung into the supervisory position--sounds really pressured. I would think you would get some warning or instructions (and a raise for cripes' sake!) before dealing with a new position. It also sounds potentially menacing to quality care for the patients.

My office is a total mess. I have files and boxes and books all over the place. I HATE MOVING! I am going to try to go through my last batch of files. So far I have two banker's boxes filled--one with all my Plath stuff and the other with all my film stuff. I am also trying to get all my computer files organized and on floppies before OIT screws up my computer in the move. Ugh! So far this summer I have done a reasonable amount of reading, but no writing. I cannot concentrate in this chaos.

Hi Deb,Garance and Josie:
This past week I have been orienting new 11-7 nurse to unit.I thought I complained alot,Geez!I have a feeling she won't be staying.All she says is how disorganized and unsafe place is and that she has worked to long and hard for her license to lose it. There are alot of things in need of improvement but I told her think thats the reason they want regular full staffing so things will be more consistant and followed through.I give her 1-2 weeks and she'll be gone.Supervisor came by last night and said to me "Wow!New nurse seems pretty intense"
Deb:Thanks so much for picture of Keegan.He is soooo sweet.I wonder how long that pink pig will stay in one piece;-) He looks like quite the little gentleman in the second picture. Son and I went for walk last night and I got hives all over my arms and some on face.Its weird I can tell when its coming on,my ears get real hot and then itchy.I came home and put a sweater on then they went away.Was so hoping that starting on Loestrin would straighten out my system.I quess I'll be going back to allergist again;(
Garance:I hope to make appt soon for cut and highlights.I have noting left of highlights and my gray is really starting to show up now.Need to cover some with the highlights.I did check Lidia cookbook,are her recipes really complicated? I fell for ya in the moving situation.I hate moving too.Good luck.

This morning I did Leslie's 4 Fast Miles--music only (50 min.).

Linny--too bad the loestrin hasn't worked. It doesn't really sound like you are allergic, though, to any thing, substance, animal, vegetable, or mineral. How about hypnosis? When you feel them coming on, maybe there's some calming mantra you could recite. Sounds stupid, but hey--

Lidia's cookbook is really pretty easy and straightforward. My favorite section is the one on cutlets--veal, chicken, pork, and turkey. I think I've made them all and they are all delicious. I also love her penne alla vodka recipe--which you can also find at epicurious.com. Last night I made island pork tenderloin from this site. It is soooo good.

I was not so happy with the girl eliminated last night from So You Think . . . Dance. Second week in the row I have disagreed with the judges.
