Pentagenarians & Beyond: October 26, 2025

we plan our drive ahead. get things loaded the night before. we have food for the drive made and ready. Im not a fast food person, that stuff is awful! you're right, easy to get dehydrated. i drink a lot of water while we drive but i time it so pee stops work for us. we know where they are and which close for winter. we do gas and pee stops. thats it . we know where the tough spots are and how long the drive should take, alternate routes . there arent many choices. MT and Idaho have excellent road condition and accident apps so i can keep track of that. WA is not as good. the WA app stinks.
How long do you drive in a stretch? do you get the after drive jitters where you are jumpy and cant sleep? its a little like getting off a boat after a long day and feeling unsteady.

Diane sue i was surprised about CVS and Walgreens not listed. every pharmacy inside agrocery store was listed. costco too. about 6 places within 5 miles of our house. we toss all the outdated things in a container and do it every few years. its time for me to do it too.

Today I did KCM’s Cardio Kickbox, no weights. It was 21 minutes, 165 calories burned, average heart rate 140, and maximum heart rate 172. Then I did STS 2.0 Chair Yoga for an additional 21 minutes.

Valerie, I’m glad that the new PT is working out well. You should feel like a serious athlete, because you are!!

Diane Sue, great job with CDorner Seated or Standing Arms, and Jessica Valant Scoliosis and Kyphosis workouts.

Cathy, great job with Live Met-Con Mash-Up. It’s good that you don’t mind such long drives. I hate car trips that are longer than 3 hours!

Waving hello to Judy.

Wednesday I did 45 minutes of Peloton Full Body Strength and a 30-minute Peloton Yin Yoga class. Yesterday I did a 30-minute walk on the walking pad and today I did a 45-minute Peloton Power Zone class.

Valerie-Great job with the park walk, therapy work, and riding. I agree with Carolyn, you are a serious athlete!

Carolyn-Great job with JS HiiT Walk, LMR Functional Lower Body, KCM’s Cardio Kickbox, no weights and STS 2.0 Chair Yoga. I’m with you on the car trips. I don’t like longer drives.

Diane Sue-Great job with CDorner Thanksgiving basic step workout, Seated or Standing Arms and Jessica Valant Scoliosis and Kyphosis workouts. That’s good that you got the downloads. I wouldn't want to have to watch advertisements either.

Cathy-Great job with Live Met-Con Mash Up. That’s really good that you don’t mind long drives.

Today I did LMR premix functional mobility warm up with bonus cardio, 20 minutes, 119 calories. I then did Jessica Valant full scoliosis workout, 49 minutes, 99 calories. Total time was 69 minutes, 218 calories. I did one of the walks out on hands and back on the mobility warm up and changed to something safer for that portion. I messed up yesterday on my workout. It was a Halloween step workout.

Cathy, nice job on the Live Met-con Mash Up. I have seen other post doing met-con workouts,
but really had no idea what they were for sure.

Valerie, my fear with trips is if there is an accident and I need to stop. I get dehydrated and deal with Sjogren's and I avoid drinking anything the morning of a trip other than to wet my mouth before I leave. I know it is not healthy. But being stuck miles from a stop is not a good thing either.

Carolyn, good job on KCM Cardio Kickbox and STS 2.0 chair yoga. I am the same way with car trips.

Judy, nice work on Wednesday's 45 minutes of Peloton Full Body Strength and 30 minutes Peloton yin yoga class, and yesterday's 30 minute walk on the walking pad and today's 45 minute Peloton Power Zone Class. You tube is full of advertisements. I guess it is to push to get people to pay for youtube and then some things you have to pay for subscriptions. I have a couple of dog trainers I watch a lot and I hate the ads.
