Pentagenarians & Beyond: May 24, 2026

Friday was a rest day. Yesterday I walked 45 minutes and did a 10-minute stretch. Today I walked for 30 minutes then I did Live #414, Fast & Furious Upper Body.

Valerie-Great job with the trail ride. You should be proud of being able to ride up that hill. I used to do a lot of hill training and it’s not easy.

Cathy-Great job with LITE Body Weight and Bands, P30 Low Impact Hiit and LMR2 Balance Fusion. I hope you had a good trip to Nebraska.

Diane Sue- Great job with Lauren, Walking Cardio and Strength to the beat, the 15-minute leg workout and 20-minute Everyday Pilates//Core Strength and back pain. That’s too bad about the restaurant you tried to go to.

Hugs to you Carolyn

Today I did part of Rev’d Up Rumble, 30 minutes, 160 calories burned, average heart rate 128, and maximum heart rate 162. Yesterday I did Jane Adams Gentle Yoga for 18 minutes.

The memorial ceremony was beautiful and I was amazed at the number of people that came to town to attend. One entire side of the Church was filled with undergraduate and graduate school friends from Harvard and Columbia, work friends from DC and other places, and friends from elementary to high school.

Hello to everyone and have a wonderful day.

Monday I did a 30-minute Peloton Outdoor walk and I spent most of the afternoon helping my husband with cleaning and organizing our garage. Yesterday I did another 30-minute Peloton Outdoor walk, 15 minutes of upper body weights and a 45-minute Yin Yoga class.

Carolyn-Great job with Rev’d Up Rumble and Jane Adams Gentle Yoga. The memorial ceremony sounds very beautiful.

Hi to Cathy, Valerie & Diane Sue

weve been busy. long drive and the major driveway work. hate using roundup but there is no other way. the driveway is impassable with huge Russian thistle every year. i DH runs a weed eater thru it and then we spray and every year it storms back. if we let it grown its a huge fire hazard. if it gets taller than it was we need to use a blade because the string line wont knock it down. other maintenance and met with a neighbor. we are going to meet friends for some hiking a distance away from here so i wont be posting for a few days. no signal.

a neighbor who sold his house left some things for us on our driveway that we cant use. big things. a huge flat bed trailer, an old tractor, ladders, fencing, and a bathtub. supposedly he will return to pick them up, whihc we doubt. not sure here, its expensive stuff and not destined for the dump but we havent a clue what to donate it to.

Carolyn what a wonderful tribute to your daughter. you must be incredibly proud of what she achieved.

This morning I did KCM’s Cardio Quick Fix, workout one, 26 minutes, 163 calories burned, average heart rate 126, and maximum heart rate 163. Yes, I am humbled by the outpouring of love for my dear daughter.

Judy, great job with the Peloton outdoor walks, upper body weights, yin yoga, and cleaning/organizing the garage.

Valerie, I hope that you enjoy hiking with your friends. That’s an amazing amount of stuff that your neighbor left for you. Hopefully you will find a place to donate it.

Hello to Cathy and Diane Sue.

Today I did KCM’s Power Splits Upper Body for 26 minutes and 110 calories burned. My average heart rate was 115 and maximum heart rate was 140. I had an appointment after my workout.

Hello to Judy, Cathy, Valerie, and Diane Sue.

Hi all. I don't even remember when I last checked in. I got to Derek's Sunday night. Monday we went and did a hike in the evening and a near by recreation dam area, that was really nice. Then Tuesday we drove out to the National Park and did the drive. Saw bison and lots of prairie dogs, it's baby season. I've been to the zoo the last two mornings, and will go again tomorrow. Going back tomorrow afternoon as he has permission for me to be there after close. He gets done at 5, but it's his turn to feed the baby lamb they had to raise by hand because Mom wasn't feeding it, so we'll have a couple hours to just walk around. It's been quite hot. Around 90 every day. Originally it wasn't supposed to be, so I had to wash all my shorts/tanks before leaving Nick's so I'd have something to wear. It's been hotter hear than in TX, and the same thing happened last May. I'm heading home early on Saturday and will spend Saturday night in Ironwood, MI. Hopefully to leave early enough on Sunday morning to spend a little time hiking in Marquette.

Carolyn it sounds like a very lovely Memorial for your daughter and so nice that so many people attended.

Valerie that is a crazy amount and type of thing that your neighbor left in your driveway. I hope you find a way to dispose of it.

Hi Judy and Diane Sue.

Yesterday I did a 45-minute Peloton Power Zone ride. Today was supposed to be a rest day but I ended up spending over 2 hours cleaning and organizing. Technically I’m calling it a rest day but it didn’t really feel like one.

Carolyn- Great job with KCM’s Power Splits Upper Body.

Valerie-I hope you have a great time hiking with your friends. Your neighbor really left a lot of stuff for you to deal with. Hopefully it can be donated.

Cathy- It sounds like you are having a very active week at Derek’s. It’s great that he got permission for you to be at the zoo after close. I bet you will enjoy that.

Hi to Diane Sue.

No workout for me today. I went to the Farmer’s Market early to get ahead of the rain. We’ve had stormy weather for the last few days.

Have a great day everyone.
