Getting us started.

I did Jane Adams Gentle Yoga this morning for 18 minutes. Yesterday I spent the day with my daughter at her new place. She just moved back to Atlanta last weekend. Her home is not close to me because she needs to be near Emory and her cancer care team, but at least she is here in the area. Her friends and cousins have been great with helping her get settled in. She is very weak so mostly sitting and supervising.

Valerie, great job with your hiking. I hope that your husband’s eye is better. Hopefully he will use the eye drops.

Judy, great job with the Peloton rides, long stretching, and restorative yoga. Giving your shoulder a rest is a good idea.

Cathy, great job with LMR Cardio x 2, STS 2 Body Parts Chest, LMR Kickbox Fusion, and STS 2 Body Parts Triceps. I don’t shop for food online. My Sprouts experience was in person at the new location close to me. It’s is worth the longer drive for me to avoid that type of frustration.

carolyn thats terrific your daughter can be closer to you and also Emory. hope she is doing well with her treatment plan.

DH is using his medication eye drops as he is supposed to but also is using lubricant drops. the cataract surgery itself can worsen dry eye. at least temporarily. mine didnt get worse but stayed about the same. a lot of medications cause issues for me so i am careful what i take.

i did groceries and garden supply shopping this morning. i also do not do groceries online except for occasional things i cant get locally. Amazon usually has what i need, like starbucks instant coffee and decaf tea. made dinner already so will exercise later today.

ETA did stacked upper body along with all therapy and ab work x2.

Today I did Strong and Sweaty Cardio Slam, low impact modifications premix. That was 47 minutes, 238 calories burned, average heart rate 116, and maximum heart rate 139.

Valerie, nice job with Stacked Sets Upper Body, therapy exercises, and Ab work.

Yesterday I did STS2 Body Parts Shoulders and then went to my parents. Fortunately there were some sports on. My Mom is very locked into a few shows that run on repeat like Chicago Fire, and NCIS that's pretty much all she wants to watch, other than the news way too many times a day. My Dad has finally started going into the kitchen sometimes and watching what he wants in there. We've been telling him to do that for a long time. Today I did LIC step combos and LMR2 Balance Fusion. I really love that workout.

Valerie hope the drops help your DH eye.

Carolyn that's good that your daughter has such a strong support system for getting settled in Atlanta. It would be hard to move in those circumstances without help.

Saturday was a rest day. Yesterday I did an hour of very easy riding on the Peloton and some PT work. Today I did 90 minutes on the Peloton, the first 45 minutes was a Power Zone Endurance class and the last 45 was just easy riding while watching YouTube. It seems like riding and walking are the only 2 things I can do a lot of without pain. My shoulder does feel a bit better so hopefully I can get back to normal strength work soon.

Diane Sue-Great job with your Upper Body Mobility workout. I hope you can get some pain relief soon. I’m glad you were able to get your husband’s MRI scheduled sooner.

Carolyn-Great job with Jane Adams Gentle Yoga and the Strong and Sweaty Cardio Slam premix. It’s good that your daughter was able to move back to Atlanta and can be closer to her care team. I hope her treatment goes very well.

Valerie- Great job with Stacked Upper Body, therapy work and ab work. I hope the eye drops help your husband. I have dry eyes and have been using lubricant eye drops for several years. They really help.
 
Today I did a Lauren Cardio and a Compound Weight workout, 45 minutes, 204 calories. It was not a real fast workout and low weights. I increased to 8# ad 5# Lauren was using seemed really light. I would have done LMR 2 PHA, but my dd was working out and I just did this in our room.
 
My birthday today. i got catered to all around. we did our park walk this morning for 1 hr 20 minutes. got some nice useful gift and nice connections with a lot of favorite people. a good day! we are going on a hiking trip in 2 weeks in utah. DH got me 2 light weight sun block hoodies because i hate /detest sunscreen!. i will still need some but if these work, a lot less than previous. got some capri pants and a size small fits. wow. im pleased. theyre too long but everything is too long. it seems capri length is out of style but i like that length because i dont have to shorten it. dh is going to get a brief recheck on his eyes this friday. i think the surgery worsened his dry eyes and that is the interfering factor, but it wont hurt to have it checked out for reassurance.
 
Today I did STS2 Total Body Stretch. Mopsy "helped." Hoping the storms predicted for this afternoon are minor.

Valerie happy birthday a day late! That's great that you got cool gifts. I actually have one pair of elastic cuffed pants that the length is okay on. All my leggings, I tuck up under. I gave up hemming things decades ago. Capri pants that are full length on me are always a good find.

Judy hopefully your shoulder keeps getting better.

cathy I am a little shorter than i used to be, things were always a bit long. now its gotten ridiculous. petites are usually ok but its the waist to crotch length that often is not shortened. i hate it when pants wont stay up because of that. sometimes its not obvious until you wear them a while and realize you are constantly hitching them up. i have that problem with leggings. my legs are bulky and my torso is not, so down they slide. we want to mt bike today but its still too cold. lower 30's right now. i like to sleep in sleep shirts but they are always too long so ihave to shorten them by a half a foot. grrrr!.

rode the neighborhood again. it warmed up but got too late to drive anywhere. 45 minutes.

This morning I did KCM’s Power Splits Upper Body, 37 minutes, 163 calories burned, average heart rate 114, and maximum heart rate 136.

Judy, great job with the Peloton rides. Hopefully the shoulder will continue to get better.

I did Live In the Ring this morning and then decided to put together a workout from both the LMR Barre workouts. Did it, but I really didn't care for it.

Valerie I never buy pants without elastic waists. Years ago, I could find lots of things in my size and then all the sizes shifted. My hip to waist ratio and those tiny little 2-3" zippers do not work. But what really bugs me is the dresses in my size that are longer than I am tall!

I have another order in my cart for the sale stuff, but not sure I want to do it. Plus my $1000 refund check for my dental work, did not show up Monday, like my informed mail said it would and it's very much needed to pay the credit card bill. Ugh!
 
Today I did KCM’s Cardio Quick Fix, workout one, 26 minutes, 167 calories burned, average heart rate 124, and maximum heart rate 165. I went to the hospital after that to be with my daughter for a while. She is dealing with several issues and is in the Intensive Care Unit where she can be monitored closely. She’s responding to treatment and is getting better.

Yesterday I did 40 minutes of easy Peloton rides and 20 minutes of stretching. Today was an active rest day. We ran some errands this morning and I’ve been getting caught up on cleaning and laundry this afternoon. I'm hoping that taking more frequent rest days will help with my shoulder and hip, both of which do seem to be getting better. My hip is almost back to normal.

Thank you all for the birthday wishes. it was a very nice day. All went well and i got some nice things i can use on our planned trip soon. some new binoculars and some light weight hoodies for wearing in the sun. i hate sunscreen and camping does not make it easy to wash it off.

I saw the periodontist this morning and the bubble gum dressing material was removed. i managed to keep it in place for a week and the stitches are absorbed, so my tongue is not going crazy. overall this was a pleasant experience considering. i still have to be careful about what i eat and brush very carefully no flossing that area for a few weeks yet. another followup in a few weeks.

carolyn so sorry your daughter is in the hospital. hopefully everything will get sorted out quickly and without much difficulty. cathy i totally failed at low rise pants. so glad they are no longer everywhere. what works for me is a belt or a drawstring.
 
Quiet day here. Everyone Ok??

DH had another dental appt today. he has an post surg eye check tomorrow. i did some cooking and baking to start getting ready for our trip in 10 days. last year was a tough year for us and we didnt use the camper much so its been a long time and we are rusty on what to pack . I am definitely tender to chew anything. so far its been sliced bananas and grapes. its open spaces i dont want to get food debris stuck in, so i will need to be cautious for another month.
 
This morning I did KCM’s Power Splits Lower Body, 33 minutes, 125 calories, average heart rate 111 and maximum heart rate 139. I didn’t work out yesterday since I left early to go to the hospital.

Judy, it’s good that you’re taking more rest days. Listening to your body is important.

Yesterday I did a 45-minute Peloton ride and 30 minutes of Yin Yoga. Today I walked for 40 minutes and did a 15 minute Peloton lower body workout, with very light weights. I'm still not ready for heavy lifting yet.

Carolyn-Great job with KCM’s Power Splits Lower Body. That is another good one that I need to do again.

its funny, the surgery was a bigger thing than i realized at the time. the dressing kept everything hidden completely. i had no swelling and almost no pain but now that side is getting sensitive to chewing. bananas and grapes so far.
therapy only today. did a costco run for a lot of supplies and also a stop at the pet store. Puss needs food. wise to take it slowly judy.
