Cathy good to know you survived without too much difficulty!
i have no clue what gets put into "explosives' these days but its way way louder than even a few years ago. i dont know what tannerite is, will look that up the legal stuff is not ridiculous but no way to even guess what can get bought at tribal fireworks stands, legal and illegal. (i grew up with sparklers!) we will as usual complain about it to the county council but nothing will get done because there are people who think this is great fun and don't want any interference in their "freedom". and the tribes make a whole ton of money from it. yesterday was ok with a few random explosions but nothing like the day before.
we walked the park again this morning, actually its a hike. i think of walks being mostly flat on pavement and this is much more than that. anyway, 90 minutes.
we are watching the PBS series American Revolution, the Ken burns production. about an hour a day. i thought i could watch it walking on the treadmill but that was a mistake. you need to pay closer attention than that. I had a pathetic education in high school and there was no room in my college itinerary for history courses. so im catching up!. its very good but its long. 12 hours total so not a quickie you can sit down and buzz through. upsets a lot of the grade school, simplistic views I had before. history never is simple and that's what makes it so much more interesting than the 30 second version we got in grade school. I highly recommend it. it is the usual Ken Burns style program with the usual narrator and commentary from a whole host of historians along the way.
