P90X

I've been waffling over this for a while, but it seems I catch the commercial every weekend, and I think I really need it. Thing is I have STS on the way. P90X isn't cheap, although I did find it a bit cheaper on Amazon. Is it really worth the purchase? How much repeat value does it have? I'm looking for something that will chew me up and spit me back out!! I want to work hard and go!go!go! Grrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!!!!!!

I can tell you I did P90X in Feb 2007 & honestly I haven't touched it much since. Once in a while I may pull out the stretch portion but since I finally added both of Cathe's stretch dvd's to my collection, P90X is collecting dust.

Tell you what, if you REALLY want to give it a whirl I would be willing to send you mine & just send it back when you're done. That way if you don't like it you have lost nothing but shipping costs. Think about it & let me know. :)

We've talked a lot about P90X here. If you do an advanced search under "P90X," you'll find a lot of opinions on it.

I made it through about 4 weeks of P90X and then quit. I just didn't like the style of lifting he does. There are a few dvds that I really liked, but it wasn't work the money (at least for me).

Not a fan myself. I got much better results with Cathe. I just gave mine to my brother. I do have to say, I do think Tony is funny:) but the program just didn't do it for me.

Glad to read these b/c it has been trying to tempt me too. I am now turning the temptation button into the off switch for this one. That Chalean Extreme, or whatever it is, is still sort of trying to get me though ;) Just need more info.

I was just reviewing mine this weekend. I think I'm going to sell it. I just find I like Cathe much better, and based on what I've seen thus far of STS, STS will be better anyway (and much more interesting). The repetition of P90X just became too much for me. I haven't touched it in months.

I personally liked P90X but understand that many did not. One key point with P90X is that you get more than just strength workouts. There is a plyo, kenpo, stretch, core and yoga workout. I just did YogaX this morning and it is one of my favorite yoga workouts. Plus, P90X has many varieties of pull-ups and push-ups that are very challenging.

I did a full P90X rotation in January 2007 and it worked wonders for me! I haven't been able to wrap my mind around a 3 month rotation since then but I am trying to psych myself up for it starting the end of this month or the beginning of October. I think it's a great program but you have to be willing to commit to a tough 3 months!

JMHO. :)
