Our STS stands for Shereta & Tara getting serious wk1

OKay, STep moves, back, biceps and core done.

This is the first time I've ever completed a rotation as written by Cathe. Even tho I messed up the order of weights, I still did everything in a week that she wrote. Woohoo.

Next week I will be more prepared to follow more specifically. I really don't agree with the once a week muscle work for each group, but I will follow this for the three months as designed, and concentrate on my food intake. That is my big issue.

Off to plan out meals for the day.

Hey Shereta, congratulations to us both because this is my first time following through on Cathe's rotation as well. Hopefully we'll be able to say this at the end of the 3 months. (lol) Well, I finished step moves and I did have to add my own move when I got confused just so I wouldn't cheat myself out of the workout. Got it done! I'm excited and feeling good! I did have a healthy breakfast, but I'll get there. I'll eat sensible this evening, haven't had lunch yet, will have a sandwich in a few and a salad for dinner around 6 or 7. Wishing you all the best and take it easy this weekend!

Hey, Tara. I'm down 2.5 pounds since last Sunday, but I'm gonna start weighing in on Friday. I'm used to my splerge meal being on friday or sat evening. Waiting til Sunday was almost too hard. I'm really pleased esp since my cycle started this week. Also, since I'm not getting as much cardio, I"ve really got to watch fhe food intake but it's I wanted to do something different this year, and weight work three times a week is definitely different. As a matter of fact, it may be the shock my body needs.

Now, next week, we're heading out of town on Sat, so I've got to do all upper body in one day. And since we'll get back that following Monday, I won't be able to work out then either, but I'll just do all upper body together. It'll work out fine.

Congratulations on the weight loss! I haven't weighed yet, I'm afraid to get on the scale. Should have weighed this morning because I pigged out yesterday and today :-( Oh well, I was doing good until the weekend. Its 10:54pm....I'm about to jump on that scale...pray for me....

Tara, you're crazy. But I do understand about the weekends that's why I've got to make Fri my weight in day.

I'm sure it won't be that bad. Remember it's best to weight in the morning after you go to the bathroom, and before you eat or drink anything. You don't have to post it or you can pm and email me if you want to.

My weight is up a little because of the chinese food from yesterday. It'll take another day to leave my system. Oh well. We are a work in progress. But we will progress.
 
I agree. Well, I think I will switch my weigh in day to Friday. After weighing I lost 1.4 pounds...better then none or gaining right? Well, off to doing Monday's workout...Have a good one!
 
Hey Shereta, its almost midnight and I'm going through my rotation to modify it. I decided to change my rotation just a tad bit adding more cardio on those strength days. Tomorrow is upper so I'll find one of my dvds that gives me strength exercise with cardio. Is this sorta how your working out in place of STS strength?

Well, Tara, kudos for tweaking the rotation to best fit you. It does take effort and time doesn't it?

But, actually, I'm concentrating on the current weight work style along with Cathe's rotation. Like this month is Meso 1, so I'm using workouts that are geared towards muscle endurance. Next month is Meso 2, so I'll use workouts that muscle building and definition. etc.

The extra cardio I add on weight days is my choosing from where I can find it. (It doesn't have to been from the same dvd/video. Sometimes, I use several dvds to get what I want. Like yesterday, I used three different dvds. I was off from work, so I had the time.)

I don't want to over train in the cardio area taking into consideration that her rotation is focusing on HiiT and kickboxing which is like interval, so I'm focusing my extra cardio on steady state only. So, I could use the treadmill or step, but I probably will be careful with other interval cardio or drill type cardio b/c those bring the heart rate up and down.

Hope this makes sense.
