OT: Norwich Terrier Anyone???

Hi Stacy, I don't have a Norwich terrier, but I'm a dog groomer and groom them(not many, as they are rare in my area) They seem to have an excellent temperment and are just the cutest things. I always wonder why more people don't have them. I ask the owners if they are good dogs and they all love them. If you want more info. Check out this site. May I ask how you became a groomer? Did you go to school, or simply apprentice? I have been trying to learn for about a year now, but it's hard while working full time. In what state are you located?
I worked evenings at PetSmart as a bather/brusher just to familiarize myself with THAT part of the process ... then got an at-home study course in grooming. I even volunteer & bath dogs at a local shelter, but nobody seems to have time to groom "with" me. Is it simply a matter of just getting dogs and trying to do my best?
Any advice would be appreciated!!! Thanks!

Let me know if you get it.If you go to the main norwich terrier club page, they should have a breeder referral section with emails and contact information. I know they have them for the Dobe and Viszla clubs I belong to.
Or you could go to an akc show and meet up with some of the people and possibly some of the breeders. You can find local shows on the akc web site also under events. They may even have a local club you could join or go to a meeting and make some contacts.

Colleen has some good ideas. Go to www.akc.org and to the right there will be a breeder referral, click on that and then look up Norwich terrier and a page will come up with some contacts for you. At the bottom of the page, you can put in your state and it will bring up any breeders if there are any in your state. You might have to go out of state, depending where you live.
