**ONE DAY AT A TIME FOR 2013**

I think it's the winter. Where we are it has seemed like an extra long winter plus we had soooo many days with no sunshine
Today is another dreary day with a very gusty wind.
It all makes the winter seem unending:(
 
Good afternoon, ladies!
I agree with the dreariness of this winter. It has been one long, dreary winter & we're getting ready for more snow - depending on which channel you listen to, anywhere from none to 8 inches is expected by tomorrow morning. YUCK!
Yesterday evening I did the Chest & Back workout from 4DS. These are good little workouts - not too long (so less chance to injure myself... LOL).
Cathy: Great job on your workouts! Do you like the Strong Knees workout? I have looked at that one on Collage more than once. Did you have a nice visit with your family? How is your granddaughter doing?
Renee: Great job on Ride! I do wish I had a spin bike, but I have nowhere to put it, & my DH would hit the roof if I spent one more dime on exercise equipment...:rolleyes: I WISH I could go to bed at 7:30! Maybe I'd feel human again if I could get some extra sleep. No matter how I try, I can't seem to control my eating, either. I've given up trying. It's rather freeing, actually! LOL:eek:

Mon. was a non weight total body plus Strong Knees & a stretch
Tue. we had an appointment
Wed. was a 45 min. walk
Thu. was also a 45 min. walk
Fri. was a 30 min walk
Sat. was a rest day because I hadn't been sleeping
Today(Sun.) is a rest day.

Caitlin: How are you doing & how did you make out with all the storms?

Renee: I'm so sorry you're not feeling well:( Are you getting eating enough & getting sleep? I hope you feel better soon

Jane: Great on 4DS! Nice visit with the family & granddaughter. She's doing fine. Yes I love the Strong Knees dvd. It has a design your own, so you can select the exercises you want or have time for plus a nice stretch. The exercises are basic(IMO) nothing fancy. Hope you check in this week.

Hi ladies, I did STS Total Body on Saturday, then I did Gym Styles Chest & Triceps yesterday evening. Took this evening off since I ended up getting a nasty headache at work this afternoon. Our admin. asst. is leaving - she's retiring at the end of the month, so it has been crazy busy.
Cathy - great job on your walks! Hope your pain level has decreased & that you're getting some refreshing sleep.
Renee- hope you're feeling better. Do you think you had a bug?

Wow i ordred sts totalbody yesterday.. How is that one?
I dont know what happened but headaches everyday two weeks and i ended up getting a cold or somethinv. But it strange l i was eating brocoli and got a peice in my nose and windpipe.. Hard to explain and i keep trying to cough it out and i could feel mucus gathering in throght n nose now i have a cold .. Hum i dont know whats going on. Lol.

You r doing great Cathy on ur walks. It was nice here today so im hoping tomorrow will be nice so i can go walking to!

I did cardio n weights today. Fun one!

I did Gym Style Legs yesterday evening. Whew! It's so hard to walk downstairs after my leg workouts! I'm always afraid my legs are going to buckle & I'm going to fall down the stairs...:eek::p:eek::rolleyes: I can see me now... Princess Grace I'm not. Ha!
Renee: I hope you're starting to feel better by! I think you'll like STS Total Body. You'll know you've been worked, that's for sure! I agree, Cardio & Weights is a fun one. I'm going to have to start going through all my Cathe workouts & doing them! I've probably got enough so that I could do a different one for a couple of months! LOL
Cathy: Hope you're still doing well - any signs of spring up your way?
Caitlin: I hope things are going well with you!
 
Jane i have gym styles leg and i did it once and was frustrated cause i felt like a failure on it lol i wonder if im up to par to at least try it now?
Was it hard to do i forgot what it is like .. I hate hate hoover squats or low paulses cause my back hurts, then my balance issues ( feet survery) that it takes alot just doinv static lunges. Thats y i liked xtrain legs no barbell hurts my legs no low paulses n hoovers just straight forward leg work. Does that,make sense? I am thinking if she starts hoovering ill,do a few but just continue to do normal squats just slower maybe. If she uses barbell and i dont i feel like im not doing it rivht. Lol.
Yesterday i did kpc with legs added because it took the place of two wo i was behind on my rotation and it incorp legs n a kickboxing.
 
hi all

I did not work out for over two weeks, as my back was hurting so badly. Last night my friend game me a massage, and it helped a bit, so I did the upper body portion of Muscle. I hope everyone is doing fine.

Dont feel bad no wo for me again i am having an issue with my knee now. I feel like something is tryn to keep me from my xtrain.. Grrr. Im gonba double up again tomorrow.

Renee, did you ever try a McDavid knee brace, and they are great. I never workout without one. Ice also helps, and you can buy those icy hot sleeves. I almost managed half an hour of hi low yesterday so that was okay for a beginning.

Renee: I'm sorry that your knee is hurting - do you take glucosamine? I take Cosamin ASU (Cathe recommended it) & I really noticed a difference. I like Gym Style Legs a lot - just a straight forward leg workout with both weight work & floor work.
I did Gym Style Bi's Shoulders & Tri's on Friday, but that's it for the weekend. I did Clean Max on Saturday, & that always gets my elbow hurting since I do most everything with my right hand. :( I want to do the Slow & Heavy series this week. I've always liked that series, too.

I used to take them which my boyfriend Dirk was around because he help me a lot with financial matters. I did not work out as I received very disturbing news. You can also surmise the way I vote because I receive government benfits. I received the new that the food stap office is cutting my food stamp allowallowance from $200 to 80 a month. How can I eat on that?

My kind neighbor Bill is supposed to take me to the food stamp office today.

Yes i need to try gym styles again. I also had to try low impact challange again.... I didnt like it before i think cause i like words to tbe music but it is a fun step reutine! I wish we can choose a soundtrack lol. Today is rest tomorrow i start back on mmy rotation.. Cbs it iis tuesday.
 
Good morning ladies! I did Slow & Heavy Legs & Shoulders yesterday evening. I love the S&H series - I wish she'd do another one along similar lines. When you lift that slowly, you HAVE to use all muscle, & I'm so much more aware of what's working.
Great job, Renee! So, are your knees feeling better?
Caitlin: I'm sorry to hear about the cut to your food stamps - that's an impossibly low amount to live on! I hope you can get some action going on your behalf.
Cathy: I hope you're doing well & that spring is starting to show itself up there! It's cold here & we're expecting snow flurries on this first day of Spring!

Jane.. Great job on the s n h i have those to. I loke ur pic on fb. Oh my knees are an off again on agaain thing. If i rest it it feels better. But still can be tempramentle.

I jogged today.. I went to a track that was, a mile i went three times .. I wasnt even trying to go faster but i finaly did my jog of three miles in 32 minutes!!!

Renee - That's great!!! Way to go!!!! ;):D Thanks (about my hair cut)! I'd had my hair down to my shoulders for over a year - it was quite a change! But, I love my hair short - less shampoo, it's dry in 5 minutes flat & easy to style.
Yesterday evening, I finished off Slow & Heavy Triceps & Biceps. Funny, but that didn't hurt my elbow. I've finally realized that what kills my elbow is cleaning, so I'm going to tell my DH that we're going to have to hire someone. He was supposed to start cleaning after he retired, but that lasted one time! :rolleyes: Since I'm the one earning the money, I think I should be able to enjoy a weekend without killing myself cleaning! I'll let you know how that goes - LOL!
Cathy: Hope you're doing OK! Did you get some snow? We had snow today - the 2nd day of Spring... go figure!
Caitlin: Hope you're feeling a bit better by now!
