ok guys what shaver do you like?

I have the intuition and the venus - not thrilled with either. I just got the quattro and I like it the best so far. It doesnt seem to me that I can get perfectly smooth right after shaving. Even after I just finish, I can still feel SOMETHING there. Is there such a thing as perfectly smooth?
 
I use the Mach 3 by Gillette. The frou-frou girlie type razors wear out too quickly, are more expensive and just don't seem to do the job. With the Mach 3, I'm pretty smooth for about two days. (I feel like I should be getting a paycheck from the fine folks at Gillette for my plug of their product! :p) Oh yeah, and I use soap, not shave gel.
 
I use a Schick something-or-other (Xtreme 3, maybe?). And I use the gel shaving foam stuff. It's pink. I think it's called Skintimates.

How helpful was that? :p
 
I use the Venus3 Divine and find that it gives me the best shave of anything I've tried, and I never nick or cut myself with it, which is nothing short of a miracle. Sooo, if the Venus didn't work for you, I don't know what will. You may need to try having your legs waxed. Or try a depillatory, but I find that they don't work on me at all. If you enjoy self-inflicted pain, get an Epi-Lady. You'll be very smooth. Crying in pain, but smooth. :p

ETA: Good shaving gel is a must too! If you're not using shaving gel now, give it a try. I use the Skintimates stuff too.

DITTO. Haven't used a girlie razor in years!

I use the schick quatro with my dove bodywash. It gives me a close shave that lasts a couple of days.

what's the deal with that new Venus vibrating razor? It seems a little bizarre to me.......

Lois, I wondered the same thing when I saw the commercial for it! It's like a vibrator for sadists.

I have the Venus and I'm very happy with it. Maybe you need to use something different as a lubricant. What do you use? Shaving cream is the best. I actually use a shaving lotion that I get from Melaleuca and it's my favorite, but that's not as easy to get as just a bottle of shaving cream from the grocery store.
 
I use Venus and Quatro, both work fine, and it is also important a good shaving cream, for sensitive skin it is much better, it makes your skin smooth, and also after the shaving a nice baby lotion, Dermatologist say, the brain process the delicate lotion is for a baby, of course we are not babies but the brain believes that and as a results our skin looks younger!!!! I saw the tip in Oprah.

Mine's a Schick and it starts out as Rich's and he uses it a few times then I adopt it. He likes the lubricated strips. I rarely use brand new blades because I cut the dickens out of those concave places, particularly around my ankles.

I thought the same thing - it's a shaver and sex toy in one. It kind of creeps me out a little bit.

I like the Intuition. Here's a trick my sister shared with me about getting your legs smooth- gently exfoliate BEFORE you shave. That helps you get a closer shave. It works really well for me. I also use shave minimizing lotion- it really works!! I use the Suave brand, but there are lots of different ones to choose from.

thanks for all the replys guys! yes I do sometimes exfoliate before shaving - mostly to get sunless tanner off. And I use a shaving gel lotion but I cant remmeber which one it is. All i know is its in a pink bottle. I have tried so many of them, Ive iven up on names :)
