No Sweets week of August 19th

Last night I didn't sleep well at all so I didn't workout this morning either. I worked long hours today and I just haven't been eating that well. Not junk food....I really haven't been eating enough. One good thing is that I am so busy at work gearing up for the new school year until snacking is not even thought about during the day. I really like my new colleagues and I know it is going to be great year.
 
Hey ladies. Today I did GS Legs. I had to modify a couple of exercises, but it wasn't that bad. I wonder if I'll ever be able to do stiff legged deadlifts again. Right now it seems impossible. My diet has been good today. I already mentioned that I started a calorie journal on July 29th. It's almost a month later and I'm still writing down everything. This really works for me and I'm glad I'm doing this to keep track of my diet. The biggest problem I had was eating less calories than what I needed during the day then waking up in the middle of the night to eat because I was starving. I haven't done that once since I started my journal. Of course there are days where I cheated and I went way over my limit, but it doesn't matter. It just helps me to get back on track the next day.

Affirm - I hope you find time to relax and do at least a light cardio or circuit workout during the weekend. You've been working hard.

Catherine - You passed the tiramisu test again! Congratulations! I sometimes feel that certain foods are to me like alcohol or drugs are to an addict and I'm being serious about that. For example sometimes when I eat ice cream I'm not satisfied until I start to see the end of the bowl. I definitely understand why you can't even have a bite of tiramisu. As soon as you taste it you'll want to eat it all. I'd love to learn how to eat a tiny bit of something bad for me and then being satisfied enough not to eat more. I'm not there yet.

Hi ladies. I have major DOMS today. I wasn't sure if I was going to exercise or not, but since I'm a little bit sore in my lower back and legs, I decided to rest today. I'll resume my workouts tomorrow. I'm actually going to watch some kickboxing dvds to see how can I modify the impact. I already modified the step portion of SJ&P and I made it 95% low impact. I practiced all the steps too. Now I have to do it with other cardios. It's not that hard to do, but I just have to watch them first and then substitute high impact moves with the ones I've learned on LM & LIC. I'd be so much happier if I had an impact resistant floor (like Taraflex), but that is not possible for me at the moment.
 
I one day dream of getting a impact resistant floor!! On the RT I could tell a huge difference while working out on that floor versus carpet.

Today I did the scrambled Drills from DM. What a nice w/o!! I hate a cheat meal. California Pizza Kitchen. Had torilla soup and 2 slices of BBQ chicken pizza. The crust was wheat. So for a cheat, I don't think that was too bad.

Don't worry Catherine we will have our impact resistant floor even if it's years from now. I definitely think that one falls in the "need" category instead of the "want" category. It sure is an investment, but not a luxury. Since I rent this house I can't do things like that, but I don't plan to live here forever, I'm just waiting to find a better job so I can finally get my own place. I've been filling out job applications and last night I sent the last one. So now I just have to sit and wait and hope for the best, but I couldn't sleep last night thinking about money ahhhhhh it's awful when that happens, but they don't pay me enough in my current job and it's time to find something else. I went back to school and got a second degree so I definitely need to be compensated for that.

You were mentioning cheating and I just had to post that I went a little bit over my allowed amount of calories because I went to visit my mom and she had cooked homemade meatballs (yum!!!). I had 6 and homemade meatballs are not normal sized by any means lol! But I had brown rice and tons of salad with vinaigrette. Oh and I had ice cream soda, *but* it was Sprite zero instead of regular soda and I only had one scoop of ice cream. I guess this was our cheat day of the week.
