No Sweets week of Aug 12th

Well, I've been going through the usual pre-TOM migraines and insomnia and I haven't been able to work out, but my diet has been good and I'm doing well on the scale. I definitely need to exercise today. Affirm is probably super busy in her new job. Last week traffic wasn't so bad even though public school started and some private schools, but this week all the universities and the rest of the private schools start and the traffic situation is awful. This continues usually for a couple of weeks and then people start carpooling among other things and it gets a little better, but for now this week means getting really early in the morning and arriving kind of late in the afternoon. I just have to be a little bit patient about it.

ETA Catherine I saw your pic right after I posted. Omg! How cool! You look freaking great woman! I'm going to check out your picture trail right now.
 
I love all the pics and I really love your pic with Cathe. I love the tops you're wearing (yours and Cathe's) and your jewelry. It seems that everybody had a great time.
 
Rose, you are so sweet!! Cathe even commented on my top!! I told her though I'd like to sneak a peak in her closet :) She was dressed so cool all the time!!

I can not even begin to tell you how much fun it was. Cathe and EVERYONE there were so nice!! I was sort of nervous about live class, but once things got going it was alright. I messed up a few times, but not bad. She did some moves from the new workouts. She did band work for the sculpting class and kicked by bootie with walking lunges :eek: The step routine on Sat afternoon was my absolute favorite. The flooring there made such a HUGE difference. Now I want to install and aerobic floor LOL!!

I am waiting to crash. I thought I'd be so tired today, but I wasn't. I even came home and did BC :eek: It'll hit me later this week :+

Rose, I hope your orthopedic appt goes well tomorrow and sheds some more light into your situation.

Hi ladies. I just wanted to do a quick check in. I have 3 evening programs at work this week, so my schedule is very hectic. I will check back in later. No exercise for me today. Eating was on the run,so not the best....but not all bad either.
 
Today I did the LIC cardio only premix on a 6" step (a first for me) and I modified tons of movements especially on blasts 3 and 4 where they tap the step and I just tap my knee. Ugh I forgot to tell you that I've been looking for a new job online these past few weeks and it is sooo stressful. I know I want to work for the federal government and there are a couple of openings in my area and some of them close in a couple of weeks. I've never worked for the federal government and I'm scared of the application process. I'm paralized to be honest. My mom says I should apply for all the ones that I find interesting but they ask for a lot of things!!! Some of the documents I don't think I can get in months!!! Ahh, we'll see if something motivates me to apply. I just can't make ends meet with my current job and I know my boss can't raise my salary (or anyone else's) for awhile. It's a little bit stressing, that's all. Tomorrow I'm going to the orthopedist and to the lab. Hopefully the doctor knows how to help me get rid of my pain once and for all.

Affirm - I figured you were busy. The first few weeks of the school year are insane. My neighbor is a teacher and I see how hectic it can get, not only preparing classes, but PTA meetings and other meetings as well. I hope you find a little bit of time to relax.

Catherine - You have got to be kidding me. BC?! omg! Yeah I would be soaking my sore butt in Epson salts after being on a Cathe RT... I have to agree about the flooring. Although I've never been to Cathe's gym I've been in others with the same type of flooring and it makes such a difference. I've never seen myself jump as high as I did when I exercised on those floors. My life would be sooooo much happier if I had a Taraflex floor at home.

Rose, how'd your appt go today. I hope you got some insight!! Good luck with your job hunt!!

I did IMAX2 today and it just wasn't the same steppin at home :( Oh well, life must go on. I've been on track with my eating. I am telling you I am so inspired to clean up my act a bit after meeting Cathe and crew- they looked even more incredible in person!!

Hello Ladies. Yes, this week is so hectic. I am working at a brand new school scheduled to open in a few weeks, so you can imagine what it is like. Because we are just opening, we are having orientations 3 nights this week for various grade levels....so my days are long. It has been almost 9 the last 2 nights before getting home. I am exhausted, but I think I am going to love my new school. I know this is just that beginning of the year craziness, but things will get better.
 
Hey ladies. I didn't go to my appointment today. They called me from the Doctor's office to cancel because the Dr. had an emergency and couldn't see patients today so I have to call later to get another appointment.

Today I didn't exercise because those PMDD symptoms are getting worse as TOM approaches and I'm exhausted, but I will do some low impact cardio tomorrow.
 
Today I did KM low impact premix. I've been doing okay with my diet too. I hope you're both doing well. Take care.
 
Ahhh migraines! Those always get the best out of me. I hope you get better soon. Bah, don't worry about taking a day off. You'll definitely make up for it. Take care and get some rest.
 
Hey Rose!! Good to hear you're continue to respect your body and listen to it!! I think that's what happened to me. I pushed myself on Mon and Tues this week and should've rested. Bam!! Migraine on Wed x( When do you see the ortho? I know it was rescheduled but didn't know when.

I am back on track today, eating good and did PS Strong Legs (minus the abs) I was minus the abs cause I did chinups and was pooped!!

I am definitely glad it is Friday. I hope to get back on track next week. I have been so busy this week. I have actually been skipping lunch some days and just not eating enough. I rarely do that. I am surprised that I haven't had a headache from this. Then, I got my braces, so that definitely has been slowing down my eating the last couple of days because I can't eat when I am in a hurry now. I hope I get used to them soon.

Just wanted to do a quick check in before getting ready for work. Hope to get back on the exercise track in the next few days.

Rose, I hope you are doing better wiht that TOM and those headaches. Good to hear that you are able to continue to modify your workouts and enjoy them. I know that makes you feel good.

Fitfairy, I am glad you enjoyed the retreat. I couldn't open the pics the other day, so I am just not sure if the server was down or something, but I will try again this weekend. After the busy last couple of weeks for you, I am sure you are glad to be home and back to a normal routine.

I did upper body today improved a bit on some exercises and stayed the same on others. Too tired to post the details LOL!!
Eating is good. Even went to Olive Garden and didn't get any Tiramisu!! I'm motivated by Cathe and Crew's fabulous physiques!!

Rose, I know. The waitress asked if we wanted dessert and without batting an eyelash I said "NO" :eek: :eek: If only I can keep this will power LOL!! We are going to the movies today and so I will be smuggling in my own popcorn and water to avoid the $$ fattening stuff they have.

I did KenpoX this morning and do not feel worked out hmmmmmmph! I guess I am so used to doing Cathe I feel like I need to really work hard to work it. I think my body needs this low intensity stuff from time to time-just have to work on my brain!! I may do some yoga later and some abs. Emphasis on "MAY"

I'm still struggling with PMDD but I'm going to exercise today no matter what.

Affirm - I hope you get used to those braces pretty soon. The first few days are the worst.

Catherine - I definitely think that sometimes we need lower intensity cardio. Actually that's all I've been doing for a couple of weeks now. I'm going to plan a GS rotation with low impact cardio to do for a couple of weeks starting (I think) on Wed. However I'm going to lift lighter than what I normally do. I write down all the weights I lift for all the exercises I do and they're organized by the name (e.g. GS Legs squats 40lbs, lunges 12lbs, etc.) and I will go lower than what I have written down. I won't do the stiff legged deadlifts on GS Legs and I will modify all the exercises that involve my lower back. I still have a couple of days to design that rotation carefully.

I will come back to post later. Yikes I don't know if you've heard about hurricane Dean. It didn't affect us in PR directly but right now we're getting the remnants (it is rainy and *very* windy). Four people died in the little islands of St. Lucia, Martinica, and Dominica. It's probably going to hit Jamaica directly tomorrow. I just hope it goes away and that it doesn't affect anybody.
