No sweets, salt, more water check-in - July 13, 2005

Morning everyone!

I did all right yesterday. Got all my water, no salt, but Sophie and Grandma baked muffins yesterday and insisted I have one. It was small and I don't really feel bad about it:)

How is everyone else doing?

Hi Shelly & Everyone:

I still fell short on the water by 2 cups. No sweets yesterday, well I had strawberries with my homemade whipped cream (only a few) and not even a tablespoon of the whipped cream. No salt and I didn't wake up in the middle of the night... well I did to use the bathroom but I didn't go to the fridge!

Have a good day everyone!

Katrina

I spent a great deal of time on FitDay logging in my calories and trying to insure that my split was 50% protein, 30% carbs and 20% fat. Then I went out to dinner with DH and some of his crew from work and after dinner I came home and had cookies, lots of them! Oh, and before dinner I had cheese and crackers.

What a waste of time when I go and blow it! Anyway, I was good up until 5:00 yesterday.

Another day today. At least yesterday I didn't have added salt and drank all of my water. Portion control went out the window.

RE: No sweets, salt, more water check-in - July 13, 200...

Hi Shelley and Katrina.

Shelley I have muffin mix here for DH. I haven't made them because I will end up eating more than one. I tell myself it's a muffin not oreos, but that doesn't mean anything.x(

Katrina good job not going to the fridge last night!

I am doing great. I can't believe I didn't want to try the "no sweets challenge" last month. I really thought there was no way I could do it. Checking in really makes a big difference!
No salty junk and more than enough water.

Glad you guys are doing good. Keep up the good work!

OKay, Katrina, you rock! Awesome job!

Let's see...I drank and ate wonderfully. Sweets.....hummmm.....

I was at a midweek service and we had a spaghetti dinner (yum!) and there were cookies for dessert. Chocolate chip. I have to have a break, though, my hormones demanded it! I only had three. I still had them, but with these check-ins I am eating WAY less than I used to! So I feel good about that.

Okay, enough rationalizing. Today I will have to sugar AT ALL!

Missy

Yesterday was pretty good. Water - good. Salty foods - good. Sweets - just ONE measely cookie. It was hard seeing that huge bag of them sitting there, but I just had ONE. Ok, so it would have been better to have NONE... :p

Plenty of water-check
No Salty snaks-No check I had some microwave low fat kettlecorn
No Sweets-check But I really want and crave something sweet in the evening. So far I have held off though :)

Terri

Yesterday was not the best day.

sweets- did good
salt - messed up by taking kids out to eat and ate french fries
water- drank 60oz, 4oz from what I drank the day before. But better than I used to do.

Hope everyone has a good day!

Thanks Missy & Kali,

Missy don't worry about the cookies, you did well despite that. Kali I agree, checking in really does make a difference. It's a new twist to the old "found journal". It really does make you accountable. I think it's important for us to strive for "improvement" and not "prefection".

Okay, so everyone have a good day and good food;-)

Katrina

So far, so good. I have been drinking plenty of water, 120 oz or more each day. This new diet I am following is working great and I haven't had any cravings.

Good work all.

I've been doing awesome so far, but last night oh my! I ate more fig newtons and I also had a lot of whole wheat ritz crackers. Bad, just bad! If I could just kick my own butt! But I'm forgetting about that and I'm starting clean today. I have to thank you all for keeping this check-in alive. If I didn't have the forums to come back to I would still be eating crap all week.

Howdy Challenge-partners! :D

It's been a few days since I've checked-in due to various busy-ness, but all is well. I'm still Sweet Free and feeling terrific! My sweet treat of late has been fresh cherries! Yum! :9 They were on sale at the grocery store, and so I stocked up. :p

Good to be back in the loop! Hope everyone is doing well.

Katrina, I agree whole-heartedly! Striving for improvement is SO much better for our emotional and mental health than aiming for perfection. What the heck is perfection anyway? ;) :+

No sweets, no salty snacks, and plenty of water.

I went to the grocery store today and they had Tostitos on sale and I was feeling fairly charitable towards DH, so I bought him two bags. Of course I had an ulterior motive, I was making spinach calzones for supper and I knew he'd be in a mood when he found out it was a meatless supper, so this was a peace offering...:9

I am hopeless at Mexican Restaurants with the chips but the bagged ones don't have the same appeal. They are ten times better at the restaurant. So far I've kept my paws out of them. This will be a good test. I need to exercise my willpower sometimes. :9

Also, I don't want to list it on my food diary on fitday.com!! That is a really good incentive!!

Hey ladies!

You all are doing so well, wish I could say the same.

Well, all I have been managing lately is plenty of water and no sweets. Other than that, my diet has taken a backslide. I have been eating foods I don't normally eat and I feel like crap because of it.

I know it is 'stress' eating....I will try to get back on track tomorrow and I am hoping my mini vacation at Cathe camp will help with the de-stressing I need.

Hello there,
today was better compared to yesterday.
Water-plenty
salt-check, only had a few pickle slices at lunch and dinner
Sweet-had two low fat brownies-would like to eat more but I am resisting.
Lunch was not very portioned controled. I need to work on this.

good luck tomorrow to all (and have fun at the roadtrip, maybe I can go next year)

Well today was not the best day in the world. I am still battling this wanting to eat terrible. I guess I am trying to stop stressing over things, cause that's not making things better.

sweets today - ate some of sons honeybuns. Please hide them darn things!!

salt- only ate a few fat free saltines cracker.

water intake- Let's just say, nothing!!

I know I will have a better day tomorrow.

Hope all of you do too!
