Mornin'!

Water - check
Salty snacks - check
Sweets - ehhhh... well... *clears throat*... there were these... uh... cookies... and I ate 3.... but it was DH's fault for stressing me out. :p Okay, okay, I know I only have myself to blame. Better luck today...

Yesterday was perfect! I ate all food in its most natural state, no sugar, no salt and plenty of water! I have been so good, I derserve a cookie! Just kidding! BUT....

MY HUSBAND IS FIRED! He baked cookies with the kids Sunday night. Not just any cookies, though. Snickerdoodles. SNICKERDOODLES! That cinnamon-sugar treat with the snap of tartar! Oh, the good Lord gave me strength because I only had four (instead of a dozen.)

Have a great one!

Good morning everyone,

no sweets- lets not talk about it.
no salt-lets definitely not talk about it.

Well still trying to get over vacation diet. I am sure I will improve as each day goes by. I feet like a alcoholic trying to dry out. I guess it is sort of the same thing. I guess!

I am counting on a good day.

Hope you all have the same/

I did great yesterday. More than enough water, not one ounce of salty junk or sweets!:7

Kim, what your doing is trying to get past a craving. It is just like an alcoholic. If you abstain from the stuff you don't want to have, you will get past the craving in a few days. Just take one day at a time as an "addict" would. Carbs, sugars are all addictive. Once we put them in our systems after not having them for a while, our bodies automatically want "more". Believe me. You'll get thru this and back to clean eating. Hang in there. And don't get down on yourself. That just makes you depressed, and you want those bad things even more.x( ...Kali

I did well all day until dinner. I met some girlfriends for dinner and I picked Mexican (what was I thinking??) I had chips and salsa (about 10 chips) before dinner. and the my dinner was fine and I only had about 1/4 of it, but they brought us a dessert (for my birthday), so I had to have some, right?? I had about 3-4 bites of a peanut butter chocolate ice cream pie. The bites I had were delicious!!

Back on track today!

I totally feel you! It is like you have to go into junk food rehab or something to get it out of your system! I hate that!

You can do it, though! Just hang in there! Instead of grabbing a sweet treat, grab an apple. Instead of going for a salty snack, reach for some peanuts or walnuts or almonds. These fill you up quicker and are good for you!

YOU CAN DO IT, GIRL!!!

We all seem to be getting or close to back on track. I was great yesterday. Lots of water, no added salt, and normal portions.

Yes, Missy. I agree. It's all about making better choices.

Well here goes,

Water--still fell short by about 16 oz

Salt--Did fine until after dinner--woke up in the middle of the night and ate a snack size bag of Whole Foods organic cheese crackers. Actually, maybe that's not too bad because at least it was reduced sodium without all the junk in it.

Sweets--Did great---ate fruit instead. Thought about it after dinner though and thought about this post and said--forget it:) I'm real happy about that!

Katrina - are you actually hungry when you wake up and eat in the middle of the night? Or is it just a habit?

RE: No sweets, salt, more water check in - July 12, 200...

Today I had one fig newton and I've done pretty good on my water intake, sugar and salt intakes the rest of the day so far. :)

RE: No sweets, salt, more water check in - July 12, 200...

Water - got it in as usual

I did have a 1/2 cup of Breyers Heart Smart chocolate brownie ice cream. I don't this counts as a sweet though, it only has 4 gms. of sugar in it. "no added sugar on the package".

No salty snacks.

Hi allwildgirl,

To be honest with you, for the most part I'm hungry and there have been times that I'm not. It's the strangest thing. The main reason I wake up, (this I'm sure of) is to go to the bathroom. I wake up up at least twice a night. I have an overactive bladder. So when I'm up--and if I'm hungry (and sometimes again--I'm not)--off to the fridge I go! Sometimes I can stop it sometimes I can't. It's a very strange thing. I'm working on it though. Thanks for asking.:)
