New Beginner Series

Any advanced exercisers out there thinking about pre-ordering Cathe's new beginner series, or will you just wait for the next advanced series?

Just curious,
Shelbygirl

Check the Ask Cathe forum. She is asking for input on mixing the series up so it is more appropriate for the more advanced crowd in these parts....

Cheers,
Marie

Nope. Can't see the point getting something aimed at the Target crowd, using 3 pound weights, that might raise the pulse of a tortoise.

Saving my money.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. I tend to get caught up in the excitement of something new, like I did when Basic Step/Body Fusion/Intermediate High Step was announced. I purchased them but find I don't really use them. I guess I should learn from past actions and give these new ones a pass.

I plan to. I might not use them alot, but there are days when I just need a break from the tough workouts and do a lighter one. I just love anything Cathe!

I'm glad cathe is reaching out to the beginners, but I was disappointed that it wasn't for the advanced. I doubt I will buy these. I am waiting for her to bust out those hard and challenging workouts.

It will depend on how good the prices on the pre-order are. I about wore out my basic step/body fusion DVD while I was pregnant last year, so I wouldn't mind having another beg/int level DVD on hand (just in case)

I am thrilled that Cathe has produced a beginner/intermediate series. This segment of exercisers was missing out on her expertise and talent. It is going to open up a whole new world for so many people...I'm going to pick them up for my sister and encourage friends and co-workers to "go for it", too! Cathe's advanced workouts are too much for most of my family and friends.

As for me, I'll wait (im)patiently for the next advanced series. Since I've only "known" Cathe for a little over a year, I'm still having a blast w/ BB series and HC series and almost all of the workouts in the Intensity series. I'm waiting for CTX to come off backorder, too.

I will get these because I love Cathe and I don't always want to work out really hard. These willb e great for days when I'm not feeling as energetic as I should. :)

Never mind I answered my own question... I am a beginner to Cathe and these still look to easy! (the new videos that is)
I haven't actually ordered any of Cathe's videos yet because I cannot decide on which one(s)!
I need to tone all over!! I am a mess from sitting 8 hours a day. I workout but it just isn't resolving all the issues!
Hawaii in 92 days and I need some help!!!

Love this board!

Actually I think it is brilliant on Cathe's part to make an easier dvd series. You can put it out on the market (if she will) and get people interested in her products. It is a great idea to get more people reeled in! Although it doesn't look like she needs any help from the looks of this board!!!

I am glad that she is coming out with these. Last Sept. I started a new job at a preschool with 3 & 4 yr olds. I continued to get all colds and flu most of the winter. I was so wore out that I had lost all my endurance and was so glad for all the good advice found on this site here. I started using Basic Step and Body Fusion and was able to gain back most of my endurance by gradually working with Timesaver, then CTX, and now Intensity Series. I am still not where I want to be (busy summer)but if not for those beginner workouts and this site I would have gotten so frustrated and quit. I am very grateful!

I preordered and consider myself advanced. Besides the fact that I have to have everything that Cathe makes :) I want it for days when I am not feeling too well but want a good workout, and I know Cathe can deliver that. Besides, Cathe says that she tried the workout with heavier weights and that's usually what I do with her other beginner/intermediate workouts. It all depends on how you work them. Really any of her workouts could be done with heavier or lighter weights, right? Can't wait to get them.:)

I'm 30 weeks pregnant and I can't wait to get these. I also think they'll be great for postpartum and for days when I just don't want to go "all out."

Besides, for that price, how can I go wrong?:)
