Okay,so yesterday I was way happy to receive my Power Hour VHS.. ugh. i am SORE today. Mainly my triceps and hamstrings.. of all things. I guess those are what I didn't work so good before :) I took some motrin and it didn't much help. I am really sore and if I sit too long I get stiff. What do you ladies take when this happens? Do you take an extra day off? I was planning to do muscle endurance tomorrow, but now I don't know if I'll be able to. these are my first two cathe weight workouts I have gotten. Guess the fit tv versions just weren't so good cause I was never this sore from doing them on there.

You may want to do some stretching, as a new study has showed those who do Yoga the next day after a really tough workout, report that they are less sore then their counter parts that either took the day off, had a hot bath, did another workout, or took medicine.

Also try to drink more water, as that can help replenish and reflush your muscles, which will get rid of any toxin causing any of the pain as well.

Hope that helps,

Kit

My friend who is a doctor says to take 1200 mg of ibuprofen (like Motrin). That's 4 pills at once. I don't avocate doing this too often as that stuff is tough on the stomach, but once in a while is fine. It works. Also light stretching seems to help me - oh and jacuzzi's (not sure if they really help - but they feel sooo good!)

Hey Trish! I hate it when I get SOOO sore that I have to skip the next workout. I personally take Shaklee's physique workout maximizer supplement. Here is the product blurb for it:
"If muscle soreness has ever kept you from exercising, then your body could use the benefits of Physique. Physique contains Bio-Build to give you the nutrients you need to rapidly recover and repair muscle tissue. It releives muscle aches caused by lactic acid buildup after a workout in the gym or in the backyard. With 18 vitamins and minerals and esential amino acids, it gives your muscles a heatlhy recovery and helps you avoid post-workout pain."
There was a big talk last week on Shaklee vitamins. If you are interested in reading that past thread, do a search for it. It was called "Help...vitamins...have you heard of these"
Anyway, this product is awesome. When I know I've pushed myself too hard, I will take this, and if I am sore the next day, it is just a little bit and it doesn't keep me from doing my next workout!
If you want to read more about Physique, you can log onto www.shaklee.net/robin_walker and read more there!
A warm bath always makes me feel better too!

Thanks! I will have to look into this. I know now that I am doing cathe workouts I am sure I will be pushing myself harder and harder..lol I am sure there are more sore days to come. :) I haven't heard of this. Also your DD is so cute!! I am guessing that is your DD in that pic!? I have a dd that is going to be 1 in 3 weeks.. man the time does fly. :-(

Thanks Kit! I might have to try Yoga one time. I haven't tried it before.. (I'm a big scardy.. but hey if I can do Cathe I can do yoga right? LOL ) I know I also need more water so maybe I otta make that my main focus for awhile too.

Wow that is a lot of ibuprofen at once. I think I have 200mg pills and I took 2 so maybe that is why I didn't notice much help..lol I might have try taking 4... I hate when my hamstrings are sore beucase that usually leads to leg cramps at night when I am trying to sleep.. x( I wanna jacuzzi!! I think I might mention that to DH..lol if we had a jacuzzi I wouldn't be nearly as sore from my workouts. I bet that would go over great.
