The ones that really get
>me are the kids who wear their skirts down so far they barely
>cover anything, yet they are puffed out in all directions
>above the very tight waist band. I soooo want to walk up to
>the girls and say, "Oh, honey, put that skirt where it belongs
>and you'll look so much better."
As a college prof., I see quite few of these low-waisted pants. What gets me is that some people who wear them don't seem to have the common sense to realize that if you are standing and they are low, once you sit down, they dip even lower! Once, while walking around my classroom while students were doing group discussions, I saw at least two student butt cracks that I could have gone without seeing (even though they were not overweight and had no muffin top overflow).
It reminded me of when I was in a bar years ago, and some fat, scanky old dude (probably the age I am now, so not THAT old!), was sitting at the bar, with about 2" of crack hanging out. I was sorely tempted to thow some quarters in his direction and see if I could "make a basket"! (And since I was consuming alcohol at the time, I almost did!).
When the "shredded jeans" look was really in, I had a male student who was giving a presentation, standing at the front of the room, wearing jeans with horizontal cuts in them at the knee and above the knee. And right below his butt. When he shifted around, it was a bit evident that he wasn't wearing underwear. I was afraid for a moment that he was going to fall right out of one of those cuts! A bit of a distraction for grading! "Let's see, that's a "B"--for balls...No! I mean, a "C" for ...oh, no, I mean "A" for @$$...oh, my"
