Medicine Balls

Just curious if any of you have more than one. I got an 8# when I started Cathe's workouts because that's what they use but I've been thinking about getting a 10# or 12# too for more of a challenge. What do you think?

Just wanted to add that my dumbbells now range from 2-20#, thanks to Cathe. I never would have thought to lift that heavy if not for her workouts. Just got the 20#s but I've used 15#s for awhile. Any advice about moving up to the 20#s?

Thanks everyone!

I use an 8, 10, & 6 for now and want to get a 4.

I have 4, 6 and 8# med. balls but the 8 seems to be the only one I use. I should probably buy heavier too, just to increase the intensity.

I actually have 4 med balls. I have a 8# and 9# and then got the smaller (in diameter) med balls in 8# and 10#. I definitely feel a difference with the 10# and will probably get a 12# sometime in the near future. The med balls that are smaller in diameter work well but they are softer than the traditional med balls.

I have dumbbells that range from 3#-20# but want to get 25# for back work. I can lift heavier weights when doing back work. I use the 20#s for one-armed rows and for chest presses. I always try to go heavier especially if I don't feel fatigue in my muscles at the end of the set. I may only be able to do half the reps at the higher weight but my goal is to always challenge myself.

I think you need to do what feels right for you. Try the 20#s and if they don't feel right then go back down to 15#s.

Thanks everyone! The reason I was thinking 12# is because the ones offered at the local sporting goods stores jump from 8# to 12#. But I found a 10# ball at a discount store (for only $19.99) the other day so I just wondered if this would be beneficial or if I should just wait & get a 12#. The 8# already doesn't challenge me as much as I want but I sure don't think I'm ready for 15# yet. Plus, I haven't used the 20# dumbbells yet either, so I still have a way to go...:p

Thanks again!:)
