Lurker's Invitation November, 2009

well I am back....got derailed by the long weekend! It was a very busy time and didn't get all the workouts in as I planed. However I am still fighting this nasty lingering cold, and I know it isn't just me, my husband has had the darn thing just as long, actually longer, than I have. Just lingers....so I am trying not to beat myself up about it. (plus it was a recovery week);)

So did nothing on Thursday, Friday strolled down the road with friends, dogs and kids, Saturday taught a class for a lady who is out of town (light cardio & weights) and also a 30 minute ab class than I met the family and some friends at the mountain and did a few easy runs on the greens with the kids. Than DH and I took the kids to a sleepover and we went to Dinner and a movie (New Moon), Sunday was another day off due to being in Boulder all day until dinner time and then had to eat and get the kids to bed getting ready for the school week again.

Last night I went to bed early, because I felt pretty lousy all day Sunday, and was excited to get a good nights sleep. Unfortunately my puppy insisted on going out at 2:30am and I couldn't get her to settle back down than she started barking and I had to bring her back in:( than I couldn't go back to sleep last time I looked at the clock it was 5am and the alarm goes off at 6am:mad::mad::mad:so feeling pretty bad again today!

I taught one pilates class this morning and have 2 more tonight! yikes!! I read back through all the posts that I had missed, but I want to try and get a nap before I leave so I will try and come back later for personals!

Hello everyone -

Yesterday - got home - got a quick snack and DH comes in & says: "Are you doing laundry?" I told him no - he said - "Did you see the laundry room?" No - I wasn't in there. I went to the laundry room and this huge jug of liquid detergent fell off the shelf and onto the floor - busted apart. Detergent was everywhere. The little throw rug in there managed to absorb a lot of it. Half the jug was empty.:mad::mad: DH's tone seemed to imply to me that this was somehow or other my own fault. I set to work to clean up the mess - and lo and behold I found myself going at it alone. DH did manage to offer some suggestions - like I might want to change my clothes - I should wipe up the corner over there and so forth. Hell of a guy. This took some time to clean - I drenched the throw rug - and then wasn't sure what to do with a soaking wet carpet? I took out the carpet cleaner and it had been put back from it's last use completely full of water and dirty!!!! I thought - I NEVER would have done something like this. I know the girls couldn't do this - it just leaves him. There is some yelling - ok - there is a lot of yelling - he says it wasn't him!!! This took up quite a bit of time. My big plans to do some major decorating - down the hatch. DH goes to bed early because he had a early flight out - so I had to tip toe around the house. Sorry - I had to blow off some steam.

This left me with enough time to work out, eat a little dinner then go to bed. He'll be out of town until tomorrow evening. I'm looking forward to having the house to my self - well, me and my girls. I feel guilty for feeling that way.

Janie: I sometimes take pictures of my decorating - it is actually fun to look at them later. I think we all should and post them to see what Christmas looks like around the country!!!

Michelle: DH does absolutely no decorating inside the house. That is all me. Last year I remember attempting to get him involved decorating the tree - half way through he said there were too many ornaments and he bailed. I think he took a nap while I took it all down. You are right - I don't want his opinion on the decorations - I don't want help but he can do the outside because it is one less thing for me to do. :D

Laura: Sounded like a lousy night alright. Tonight will be better. For taking it easy you sure managed to get a lot of physical activity in!!! I hope your cold goes away soon - maybe some more vitamin C? I seem to never sleep more than a couple hours a night anymore. I went to bed at midnight - I was really tired too. I woke up at 2! I have no idea why. Then I was sort of awake most of the rest of the night - I lay there but I'm never really fully asleep. The alarm went off at 3:30AM for Rex to catch his plane. After that any attempt to get more sleep is futile. My girls would jump up and jump out of bed any time I moved. I think they really wanted to get up!

Shadowpup: I enjoyed the story about Robin and your husband riding her. Everybody at home hates for you to go - even the poor little cat. Isn't it nice to be missed!!

Ok - time to get something done here. Hope everyone has a great day.
