Lift, Move & Restore Update…10/28/24

I will be sad if she stops making DVDs. I don't want to buy an unchaptered download, and I don't want to subscribe to her full library or the cheaper live option either. I simply hate streaming for exercise, as I pause, FF, Rewind and skip chapters a lot with a DVD remote that is more fully functional than a roku remote. Sad because I think going forward she WILL offer less intense workouts as she herself gets older and be more sensitive to that issue. Just very sad....I am 67 years old. Just FYI I do love streaming movies and prefer that to DVDs so its not that I don't love tech, I actually do. I tried Jessica Smith streaming and hated it.
I would be sad if Cathe stops producing dvds. They are pretty much a "luxury" compared to free stuff posted on YouTube. As far as quality is concerned, there is no comparison. IMO

That said, I stick to what works for me.
I am a tech person too.

My appreciation of Cathe's past library of workouts isn't lessened by my desire/expectation of receiving an update on delivery of a workout I preordered.

If anything, it shows my continued interest in what she produces...and that the length of time between my payment in February hasn't dampened my interest in the finished product.

In fact, asking for an updated timeline on delivery of what I ordered shows my continued loyalty (instead of asking for a cancellation of my order.)

Hopefully we can all carry on anticipating this release by either asking for updates... or silently not desiring updates. Neither expression during this delay is any less (or more) of a Cathe customer.

Not sure what you mean... I have almost every dvd Cathe has ever produced & do her weight workouts almost exclusively. Expresssing disappointment does not make me "disloyal", nor an enemy. Just saying.
I think you have missed the point.

The Cathe collection offers numerous workouts.
Enough alternatives to outweigh the inconvenience caused by the "delay" #IMHO

Unpopular opinion, fully prepared to be lambasted, but let the chips fall:

Y’all need to chill out.

Pre-payment for a DVD series is a capital investment so that the series can actually get made. Exercise videos are not a huge moneymaker and neither is owning and operating a gym — especially in this day and age when loads of “influencer” content is free on YouTube (Caroline Girven, for example). We pre-pay so Cathe Inc has the money to give us the quality product we have come to expect over years of trust and consistent product excellence. Once the series is in your hands you will likely forget that you had to wait so long for it; you will love it, you will use it all the time and you will be grateful someone put so much effort into making a series like no other on the market.

As for “excuses”:
I have been a Cathe customer for over 20 years and I’ve never known Cathe to lie, make false promises or not deliver on something she said she was going to do. Her reputation, business, staff, and future ventures are on the line every time she puts out a new series. That doesn’t seem to be something she takes lightly. There are behind the scenes things that happen that are out of her control (logistics, software, staffing issues, capital issues, supply-chain hiccups, health concerns — all kinds of scenarios) that can affect product delivery. A company owner has to be very selective in what they share so that it doesn’t reveal the shortcomings or personal details of others (so that it looks like she’s dragging someone else down) or make too many excuses (because that makes the company look weak, like they can’t deliver a product). One also has to make sure they aren’t pushing a product too quickly, taking shortcuts and delivering something that skips, isn’t chaptered, doesn’t jive with the Workout Blender, has terrible music, or has odd voice levels, bad lighting, etc.). As an aside, I remember well the very minor issues STS 2.0 had with one (or two?) discs that Cathe promptly replaced, free of charge.

All that to say:
Yes, the series was promised for “Summer 2024” and yes, it is now early November. But to insinuate that someone we have all come to trust and admire is lying to you when you have to wait a little while for what we know is going to be an excellent product is just rude and hurtful. Y’all can do better.

I am excited to get the new series. I look forward to using it. I am sorry and a little disappointed that it’s taking longer than expected, but I refuse to attack someone I know is working their butt off every day for me. Knock it off and show some love and understanding.
WOW! I didn't see any rudeness before this post. Your own post here is a bit offensive. We don't need to be talked to like we're children.

it’s been years since I got dvd downloads, but back then, they did have chapter points
that showed up in my iPod touch. I assume the downloads now, still do. I don’t think
downloads have premixes, but maybe if there is “bonus” material with a particular
workout, you might get those with a download, I am not sure…maybe someone that
gets downloads, will respond…..if they dare! :)

I very much appreciate that you can still purchase DVDs. The trend of companies not offering anything unless you sign up for a subscription has become more and more frustrating in recent years. I have exercise equipment and DVDs I have been using for more than 20 years. A one-time purchase is so much cheaper than 20 years of monthly fees, and I am glad that even though Cathe offers subscriptions, I can purchase even the Live workouts and use them without paying for a subscription (at least until I can no longer buy or service a device that plays them).

I often get downloads and DVDs, but have not figured out how to forward to a certain point on a download. The bonuses have come as a separate small download included with the purchase of the workout; you have to click on that one to download it in addition. I have not been able to play them as part of the workout; I would pause the main program, open the bonus and play it, then go back to the main program for remainder.

I have been ordering dvds and downloads for years. Downloads do not contain premixes. Premixes are customized workout, made by selecting various chapters/segments.

Bonuses are separated from workout. They are offered as segment, as workouts. They are literally chapters.

Tecs savvy make premixes by either subscribing to cathe on demand or by using external softwares. Another way of having premixes is simply purchase dvds as they contain premixes. With dvds, premixes are already made, ready to be played. Blending/customizing workouts requires time and skills.

Hope anyone wondering what a dvd has to offer get the answer to the question.

Years ago, for the Shock Cardio series (2009 maybe), Cathe/SNM gifted us the downloads when we purchased the pre-sale on the dvds so we could try them out.
Aahh, I had forgotten about that! I can't remember if I took advantage of that or not......
and that computer is long gone..........I don't think I did.............

Yep, you know I am a blender addict…. I recently deleted over 700 from my blender
library, but have added probably 20 or more since…..:):). I deleted a lot of step only
workouts, as I don’t do step as often as I used to, and a lot of my older ones…. I keep
it only because of the blender, cause like you said, I have all of Cathe’s dvds, except
Terminator. I still have alot of the original VHS tapes too, some older ones were never
put on dvd…can’t part with them…..:)

Yes, I asked, (I'm not sure if anyone asked anything else up thread) and received the answer to my question regarding whether downloads of Cathe's releases included the premixes. I use premixes on her DVDs many times more than the actual workouts.

I was asking because of my concern whether she would continue to produce DVD content.

The price of the downloads isn't really all that different from the DVDs and, for me, doesn't include the value of the premixes. I'm not tech savvy enough to create my own premixes from the downloads.

The blender option with ondemand does sound like a great functionality but unfortunately somewhat useless for someone with crappy internet.

So will ride, or die, with my DVDs

If I never buy another dvd, I have more than enough to keep me satisfied :). I didn’t even
mention all the Live downloads that I have purchased even tho’ I have Live w/OnDemand, probably 25-30, maybe more during the past few years…and with all the
new content that will be in LM&R, I think I am good to go!

I'm back.........I found 4.........I thought I had another......maybe..........someplace!

Step "N" Motion "Taking it from the Top" 1991----on back of the box it says"This 60 min. workout is designed
for the novice who has never exercised with the step" Once you have mastered this workout, you can step
up to advanced Step "N" Motion .......it then lists 3 more Step "N" Motion 1, 2, & 3. That being said, I
checked on OnDemand to see if the 4 I have are listed there, they are not, but OnDemand does have
Step "N" Motion 1.

Cathe-The Home Step Workout

Cathe's Fredrich's Mega Step Blast

Cathe Step N' Motion Cardio Step Challenge

On back of the Home Step workout box, it shows 2 other workouts: Fit & Firm and Rock Bottoms.
That might be what I am thinking about, because I am sure I had Rock Bottoms at one time..........

I think Rock Bottoms had a very risqué photo? I could be wrong .
I'm looking at the little pics right now.......Rock Bottoms is just a pic (side view) of hips, legs

Fit & Firm is a pic that you might be thinking of.....it reminds me of in the movie, FlashDance, where
she is leaning back in that chair when that bucket of water dumps on her....... No water on Cathe tho' :)
