Good Afternoon Ladies!

This morning I finally did one of my virgin yoga workouts - Yoga Journal Step by Step Vol. 3: Balancing Poses for Focus & Energy. This was basically an instructional practice - 35 mins. of instruction and 20 mins. vinyasa flow although it didn't really feel like a flow - just a faster instruction. The instruction was really good. The poses were:

Mountain, 1/2 Sun Salutations; Full Sun Salutations; Lunge and Twist; Side Plank, Crane, Handstand prep, handstand, headstand, shoulderstand, plow, side twists and shavasana. I did a great shoulderstand (probably my best pose) and did really good with crane. Handstand and headstand I held for a few seconds.

Deanie - Thanks for the info about the Squeeze workout. They had mentioned it at VF. Unfortunately $$$ is tight so I'm going to have to wait a bit. I'm really trying hard not to use my CCds. I still haven't decided yet about the next couple of weeks of my rotation. I dread the thought of doing S&H Chest & Back again and at least with the X, I can work in my pulls and chins. I haven't really done any since Sunday. Although if I did S&H another week, I'd like to take a recovery week. I do find it sweet that DH brags about my lifting. I just wish he'd start again. Once in a while he says he picks up my weights and does a few curls. Congrats on DS's win! Good luck to your other DS.

Gin - Good luck with your MRI. I really hope they figure out what's wrong. I heard on the radio this morning that they were talking to Julieann and she said that Cloris has a big enough fan base that she might be in the finals! I hope that doesn't happen because it seems unfair to the people who are truly dancing. Not that I don't like her; I find her very entertaining but just not really dancing. Have a great time at your reunion! You'll probably be the fittest one there!

Hi Girls!

Thought I would post now in case I don't have time in the morning. I have to be at school early again tomorrow. (every 3rd Friday of the month)
I plan to run my usual 3 miles tomorrow morning. It is supposed to be in the 50's....brrrr! Really, that is cold to me!:p

Deanie~Glad your knee feels better. I try to change my shoes out every 6 months. I guess we are all three obsessed with exercise, right??:eek:
During my MRI today I tried to run through the Cathe rotation that we will be doing the next few weeks and tried to remember the RT. They put a wash cloth over my eyes and that helped, but just KNOWING that I was closed up made me anxious.
Actually, I had dark hair in HS and I probably weighed about 5# more now. I never was skinny.
What did you decide about coloring your hair?
I don't think I could do a workout on my own. The fun factor wouldn't be there for me!:(

Marcy~Yeah to your headstand and handstand!! Way to go!! Did you see that Tracey has a new yoga dvd on pre-sale? I know you aren't buying anything full price now. I have been curious about Slim in Six and Turbo Jam. (I think that is the name) Not sure why, though. It seems as if every time I try another workout, I never like it as well as Cathe.

I just realized that it's after 10 pm....YIKES STRIPES!!:eek:

Did a shortened version of S&H Tris & Bis today. Too tired so wasn't able to start on time and didn't have much energy either. My itching has also come back so I'm not sleeping too well.:(:mad:

Overhead Extensions - Sets 1 and 2 - 23.4# - only did 6 reps on set 2 (2 less than last time)

Lying Extensions: All 3 sets 10# - probably could've gone to 12# for some but 10 felt good.

Kickbacks - 2 sets at 10#
Both sets of dips
Dbbl Curls - 2 sets at 15.4#
Hammer Curls - Set 1 - 15.4# - reps (up 2#); 13.4# - 4 reps; Set 2 - 13.4#
Skipped barbell curls
Wrist curls - 10#
Reverse curls - 5#
Abs

Deanie - Congrats to your DS! Hope you had a great workout.

Gin - I did see about Tracey's new DVD. The preorder price is really good at $12.95 and no shipping if I order by this weekend. I'll probably order it. I don't really have any restorative yoga. When do you get the results of the MRI?
