Hi ladies.

Okay so my weight and BF % are both droppping and my measurements are going in the right direct EXCEPT for my legs! They are getting BIGGER!x( I want them toned but SMALLER! Does this mean I need to lighten my weight on legs exercises??? Low (or no)weight/high rep-endurance is what I should focus on?

Should I work on legs more often? I currently work my legs with weights 4x per week.

Hi Wendy! Obviously I'm not Dutchie but thought I'd chime in. I think legs 4x a week would be a max. You might even want to try 3x week w/ the freestyle type training that has been discussed on the board. I have the same problem that my legs develop quickly so I tend to stay lighter and go heavier on upper body to "even" myself out. Hope this helps a bit!

I have the same issue. I have just started to try and adjust my workout to the "freestyle" approach. There have been a lot of posts in the last month on this. Do a search for freestyle on the forum, and you'll get a lot of information on it.

Wendy, I'd lower the weight and maybe add another leg day. Legs and Glutes would be an awesome one. Don't max out on your weights. Use about 70% of your max. I just started doing more leg work last week to get rid of the bulk and so far it seems to be helping. I am using less weights, too!

Another suggestion would be spinning. I have been spinning for a few months now and have gotten GREAT results. I usually cycle 2 times a week on my upright bike. I also do a full leg workout once a week rotating heavy and light weights.
