Labor Day weekend...

A bit of shopping (gotta get that book and those shoes), having the SO's family over on Sunday afternoon and Monday will be spent chilling in preparation for the start of 5TH GRADE on Tuesday:)

It will be very hard TeTe!!! :7 We are going to visit my stepmom who is 4 hours away in Cincinnati. She is not doing well at all healthwise and she is very excited we are coming for a visit!

We're having a HUGE garage sale on Saturday. My aunt passed away in July and we're selling a good portion of her things. She was a pack rat and it has taken us this long to get everything sorted, donated, etc. I haven't had a free weekend since the middle of June. When Saturday is over, I'm going into hiding for the next 2 days.
 
I feel so bad for those of you who have to work this weekend. BOOOOO!!!!

No big plans for us. DH is all excited about college football, so that means I can probably sneak out and do some shopping and he won't even notice. }( ;)
 
Ahhh, that's ok, working in a resort town, with the kinds of crowds a holiday weekend can bring, it's almost a good thing I'm safely tucked away at work...I hate sitting in traffic.

And besides, the thought of NFL Football starting the following weekend is enough to get me over the hump!!

We will be going to Charlton Old Home Day, and also closing the pool. If we don't close the pool this weekend it won't get closed until Oct.

We're going to take in the shops/sites in Galena, IL . . . we lucked out on a family member's "vacation" home down there - so we're taking advantage of it!

Also working - all 3 stinking days. The rotation worked out so that it's my weekend to work and my holiday to work. But if I can make it through, I'll get a 4-day weekend the next weekend - the 2-day regular weekend, a day off for working Sunday, and a comp day for Labor Day.

Saturday: We go to NYC every other weekend so since this is our 'go' weekend we're going to an exhibit at the Whitney and then to see Patty Boyd's photographs at the Morrison Hotel and Gallery.

Sunday: shopping for fall stuff at Short Hills.

Monday: RELAX!!
 
Hopefully finishing my new laundry room...baseboard installation, window trim, templating the countertop, installing drawer fronts...oh crap, it's not gonna get done in three days.
 
Well sat. we are having the family fantasy football draft. This is my first year to join in. I made a side bet with DH. So wish me luck as the season starts and finishes. The rest of the weekend, well probably just relaxing.

Saturday: Saturday in the Park womens only 5k race in the morning and then off to my SIL's for a Labor Day party in the afternoon and into the evening. We will probably spend the night so we can really cut loose. }(

Sunday: Possibly to my mom's for a small BBQ in the afternoon.

Monday: Pier Village 5k race in the morning.

We have a jam packed weekend. Saturday is my niece's wedding in Ottawa (2 hours away). Sunday will be back to school stuff then a BBQ at a friend's place (she's trying to hook me up:)) and come hell or high water we are going to the Sandbanks beach on Monday, this could very well be the first summer of my life that I didn't get to the beach....I don't care if it's pouring rain, we're going and GOSH DARN IT WE ARE GOING TO HAVE FUN!!!:7

I'll be camping with my boys all weekend. Hoping to get home early enough on Monday to get completely unpacked, cleaned up, and to bed early enough....school starts Tuesday FOR ALL 3 OF US! WOO HOO!
