Labor Day Weekend Plans?

Let's see...the State Fair on Saturday, the Renaissance Festival on Sunday, and Monday to recover from it all! Have a great weekend everyone!!
 
There are 4 birthdays in my family in the month of September, so on Friday evening were all going out to dinner. DH took Friday off and is off on Monday :),so the rest of the weekend we plan to blow the cobwebs off our bicycles and go for a ride. I'm going to put together a picnic lunch one day as well--weather permitting. I can't tell you how much I'm looking forward to spending time with DH. He's been swamped at work this month, then he left for a meeting last Saturday. He'll be home late this evening. I can hardly wait to see him. I'm trying to think of something special to have for dinner tomorrow. It definitely will NOT be clean. LOL

My husband and I are heading to France for Labor Day weekend (and the week after that too). We are spending four days in Paris, two in Avignon (in Provence, the south of France) and three days right on the beach in Nice. We even managed to find hotels with fitness centers (which isn't always that easy in Europe I've discovered), so we'll be able to keep up with our weight workouts. Walking is going to have to do for cardio, however.

I remember when I always used to have a bbq to go to on summer holidays...not anymore...no one wants to be bothered...we could have planned to have one but we live down the shore and our families would complain about coming down to us during a summer holiday weekend. x(

I'm guessing it's because everyone and their brother will be going to the shore as it's the last long weekend of the summer and traffic will suck. Is that right, Wendy?

Shelly- We did some BTS shopping yesterday for 4 kiddos and Mama aand Papa;I'm glad to be done with it.
Wendy- Have your own BBQ with Joey and your DH!!!


We take our son to Boston College on Friday. (Go Eagles!) After we un pack him we get our DD's belongins out of storage and move her into her first apt in Beantown. At the end of that day we hope to eat in the North End and finish with a Canoli from Mike's Pastry yummie! We will spend the night and rush home (6 hour drive) to see our two kiddos at home with the sitter.

I work for the Y and we're opening our new facility on Saturday. We live in a rural area so this awesome building is great news!

The rest of the weekend we'll probably go swimming and do other family things. I can't believe school starts next week!

I'm doing something you'll only do in Wisconsin. Our home town (Sauk City) has the annual 'cow chip days'. It is a big craft fair, and there is a parade, and yes, people throw cow chips to see who can throw them the furthest. It is kindof gross, but they are all dried up. Anyway, we go home to do this every year during labor day. It will be Ella's first trip to the cow chip throw! Actually, I go because of the craft fair!
 
I will be going out to eat Fri-night at an Italian restuarant. Then I will shop,eat,shop,eat,and shop sat. and sun. Maybe I should of put and extra eat in there! I will rest Monday or will do more shopping. Gosh I love to shop and eat!

Labor Day is #2 of the two holidays I have to pull this year, New Years Day was the other, so I'll be working. I also have to work Saturday and Sunday too. I'm off Friday though. We are taking DS out Saturday night for his birthday with the rest of the family. He'll be 25!!!! My son will be 25, where did the time go!!
