Justice For Karley

I am trying to get as many people as possible to sign a petition for a puppy who was beaten to death by its neighbor who is the Assistance Fire Chief in Los Angeles. You can go to warreneckstein.com and get the whole story and sign a petition to get some justice for this puppy:mad:

Petition

Cynthia Just to let you know I usually do not start or pass on these type of petitons but something about this story really made me mad and so outraged I had to do something . Thank you ,Thank you ,Thank you for signing :)

I'm DISGUSTED by this story ... signed the petition and sent it on to some friends to do the same. Unfortunately, cynic that I am, I am sure that this person will not be prosecuted because of the kind of position he holds... it's sad.

I feel the same way you do but you have a great idea sign and pass it on and who knows maybe Karley will get some justice !!!!!!!!! I know there are alot of animal lovers on this forum who will sign this and follow this story :)

I signed

and passed it on to people as well. That is terrible! It makes me sick to my stomach that people would do this to an animal!

Cause I signed it.

I googled it and read a subsequent article.. it is legit, but no further action has been taken and the guy is still on PAID leave! no charges have been filed as of earlier this month...

It turned my stomach too! some people... there aren't words to describe the feelings... I just had to hug my furbaby!:(

Here's my response. I am so sick about this:

"I will not be getting any sleep tonight. Does this insane rage against animals ever stop? From where do these abusers come and why are they never properly dealt with the FIRST time?

All animal cruelty cases resulting in a conviction deserve mandatory prison time. This monster should NEVER be a free man. Put a magnifying glass up to his life and I guarantee he has always been a very dangerous individual. There's no way his attack on a tiny six month old puppy is the first time he's tortured an innocent. This man is clearly some type of sociopath who lacks both the boundaries normal people know and a conscience with which to feel empathy.

The next time, it won't be a puppy, It will be somebody's child. When that happens you can bet this case will be brought up and everyone will ask "Why was this monster on the streets and who's responsible for his predatory presence among us?" Then, everyone will look for someone to blame. One cannot grow a conscience so, please, do everything in your power now to put him behind bars for as long as you are able.

Thank You."

BTW, I just emailed CNN about this and included the link. Say a prayer.

Thanks for passing this on. It's hard to believe there are actually people like this in the world! Just sad.

I signed too. What this person did to this poor dog, should be done to him. It's disgusting. I couldn't even read all of it.

I signed. Thank you Sknauss and Kathryn! I couldn't read the story though or it would haunt me too much and I'd cry all the time. It would come on me at the most inopportune times like on the subway, etc. I despise animal cruelty and neglect of any kind. If I can do a little something to help I will. God made these beautiful animals and He charged us to love, care, respect and protect them not to neglect, exploit or abuse them. To much is given much will be expected of us. I'm so GLAD for this wonderful community who love and care for animals! Thank you, you guys!!

I have a hard time reading these stories, too. Like you, I find that the images comes back to haunt me (even if I've never seen pictures of it, I have a very visual imagination, which is good at times, but painful in cases like this.) And it seems like the more attrocious the abuse, the more apt I am to think about it.

I agree with you guys too! I sat hear with tears in rolling down my face while reading the article, bawling! I get choked up with that commercial with Sarah McLaughlin ~ gets me every time! I'm not sure I could watch Dogtown, even with the happy endings... there are so many more animals across the country who don't have that... It's just sad...

and like another poster said above... animal cruelty is just one step away from humans IMO.
