Good Morning Everyone!!!

Just starting out the thread...

Where has our early-bird Vilma been lately???

I really need to get IMAX2 done ASAP, it's starting to heat up out there... I've a feeling I'm going to be sweating buckets...

I'm in denial of having a scratchy throat and nose, I think I'm catching my youngest son's cold... crap!

BBL!

Good morning everyone!

Chris, summer colds suck! I hope you escape it. I did the ME upper body stuff today -- you're right -- lots of reps! I'm tempted to do IMAX 2 later today, because even though my upper body is completely rubbery now, I feel like I didn't really work since I didn't get the sweaty cardio feeling. But, in reality, I probably won't get anywhere near it! Who am I kidding?! :)

Yes, I was thinking about missing Vilma as I was working out this morning. We miss you, Vilma!

happy Friday everyone!

I'm here http://www.pic4ever.com/images/3.gif

Big Hugs to you guys! :D

Just dealing with a slight case of too much CABs from last night lol

I swear I had only two margaritas but since I'm not a drinker that was enough for me and well I woke up late and haven't even started my workout yet ---- blech!

I need to get my backside in gear and get started already!

Today is Imax 2 but I soooo wannna do CCv7 or 8 but I participate in the CCPP on the last Saturdays of the month here so I will just do Imax 2 :p

Yesterday was a partial rest day... why partial?

Well it's my dh's really only day off (Thursdays) so we went out for a run/walk through our hilly neighborhood and my intentions were to get back home and do ME's UB split but instead when we got back home we started cleaning out our garage instead and hauling stuff out to our cars and taking them them to the recycling center. Gosh we still have so much crap it's unbelievable!

Yes I'm still trying to get rid of stuff I don't love, like or love but the rest of the family are not as ruthless as I am and don't want to get rid of stuff they don't even use anymore. It saddens me as we still need to get this house in show ready state to sell it so we can move closer to DH's job but realistically I don't see it happening this summer :(

I'm so bummed over that as I had hoped that the older kids would get on the train and help out but its been tough.

Oy I'm rambling when I should but stepping and jumping with Cathe & crew lol

TTYL :)

Hi ladies!! Hope you all enjoy your Imax2's !!! Chris, hope you can beat that cold.

Beth, I get that same feeling when I only do weights - especially upper. I feel like I need that cardio.

Hi Vilma! Yea, I'd be feeling blech from two margaritas, too. It's sad! In college, no problemo, now, furrgetabout it!! I bet we would have you beat in the "crap" department!! My DH is a collector - of everything car, motorcycle, tool, etc. related. Our garage is bursting. It's so embarrassing if someone is over and he opens the door. Actually we laugh about it (well, not him!). I tell him we'll be in our house forever, because there's no way we could move all his "valuables" in the garage. You probably got a good upper body workout just moving all that stuff.

This morning I was back on the wagon with PP upper body 3x. Maybe it's just me, but that went on forever. Good workout, but if I do it again, I'll do the 2x premix. It was funny, my daughter got up early and was asking why does that lady keep doing the same thing?? I may do a itread during lunch.

Everyone have a great day and weekend if I don't make it back here.

Joanne

Hi Again!

Thanks for the well wishes on beating a cold. I do take Zinc every day too. And I felt like sweating it out with IMAX 2 felt good too!... but the throat is still feeling "weird" and I'm drinking a TON of water to "sooth" it.

yes, I sweated my butTOCKS off with Imax2 about an hour ago! I do love that workout, and I had the energy for it too. But OMG, the humidity here is crazy, and it got me drenched. I'm also fighting turning on the AC. We were closed up all Winter, and I was always SOOO cold for SOOO long, I need to "enjoy" the heat for a bit. But the humidity really wipes you out after a while, doesn't it?

Beth.... I felt the same way yesterday with ME Upper Body premix. I mean, yes, the reps really made me BURN by the end of the set, but I felt like I should do MORE than just that workout. I've been trying to set my mind to the fact that "they" say less cardio and more weightwork is better for weight loss. So I tell myself that over and over on those "just weights" days. I do feel I've gotten a LOT more definition over the last month, esp. in my upper body. The weight thing is stagnant though. But it's because of my crazy eating weekends. I did lose last month (I did better eating on the weekends), I might end up maintaining this month, which is ok, but I WANT to kick it up, I WANT to lose about 5 more lbs!! Such a struggle, i tell ya!

There you are Vilma!!!! ... Well, Margaritas are a GOOD excuse for not making it for check in!! LOL! I'm also a very light weight drinker these days. I swear, if I take a sip of wine when I'm cooking, I get all "warm" in my head. I'm a cheap date. And yes, I was quite the "drinker" in college days. I could drink with the BIG guys back then! (shots of hard liquor, endless beers, ... plus other things I won't mention ....). I also understand about "junk" and clutter. I'm a bit of a hoarder myself. I really need to start throwing stuff out or giving it away. Anyhow... Hope you got IMAX 2 done! The Pina Coloda song is makes it SOOOO worthwhile, doesn't it???

Joanne... I agree about the 3x on PP Premix. Yeah, 3 times was pushing it. LOL about your daughter's comments! I was feeling the same way!

Okay..off to make the boys their lunch!!

~Chris

Hi ladies!!

Checking in today with stretch max segment #1 and FIRM's Ultimate calorie Blaster....

Chris: I hate summer colds!! Hope you fight it off!

Beth: I feel the same way about the cardio. I love to do cardio and get that sweaty worked out feeling. Sometimes I feel I need that too to get a workout!

Vilma: I hope you are able to get rid of the junk! It will be hard when you have to move it. When we moved to Virginia I didn't want to get rid of stuff. So, we moved it up here. Then after being here a month or so. I realized I didn't need alot of stuff and ended up taking it to charity. I learned my lesson. Especially since hubby and I did the moving ourselves that time!!

Joanne: I did the double body premix once on I think it was bodymax and hubby made a similar comment and thought my DVD was broken until I explained I chose that on purpose!!LOL

Checking back in with.....drumroll.....5.20 miles on the treadmill. Go me! I think I got my cardio fix! I did itread 24 run intervals 60 minutes. I was only going to do the first 30, but kept going to the end.

I also have to confess I cheated big time last night on my eating better journey! I took all the kids (plus one extra!) to an ice cream place in our neighborhood. One of the last old-fashioned ones. OMG, they have the BEST EVER mint chocolate chip ice cream. I love it with chocolate syrup and nuts. I know, sounds weird, but it's soooo good. I don't even want anyone to talk with me when I'm eating it....don't ruin it for me!!! Anyhoo, I tried to be good and ordered the kiddie size, well, they made a mistake and brought me the regular big size. Who I am to quibble?? :p I enjoyed every last bite of it.

OK, I must leave now and stop thinking about that ice cream. ;) I'm leaving work early to go to the last day of my son's soccer camp. They are having a demonstration and then an awards ceremony. He asked me last night if I could come. I'm lucky that they're pretty easy-going when it comes to that stuff here at work, so I'm off to catch an early train!

Have a great weekend all!!! It's LowMax for me tomorrow.

Joanne

Ahhhh to sit and be able to post lol

So I finished Imax2 earlier. As always it was tons of fun and I loved the sweatfest going on lol.

I've decided to take on the challenge for tomorrow's CCPP day here and add on challenge 3 of CCv8 - }( Crazy eh? LMBO

Lets see how I fare when I'm done tomorow lmao, I'm so looking forward to it ,its crazy I have become so addicted to my CC's lately that poor Grace and my Itreads are being neglected :p

My eats are doing very good today considering the spinach articoke dip I had last night  . My fingers felt tight due to the extra sodium from last night foray out so I've been drinking tons of water today.

I forgot to mention that after we got back from taking stuff from garage out we ended up going to see Kung Fu Panda with out youngest - it was so cute and both adults enjoyed as much as our youngest.

Now the movie I really want to see came out today with Angelina Jolie called 'Wanted' that one looks fierce lol

Joanne:

I feel the same way about PP UB x3 at one point I was like - ugh not again. If a rotation calls for these PP UB / LB x3 again I'll just do the 2 sets instead as after awhile I got a bit bored :/ and felt is was a bit redundant although it worked me good but still LOL

Yay You! For doing 5.20 miles on the TM :) I have that Itread and Its a great one isn't it?

Chris:

Ugh Colds in general just suck ! Sorry your feeling a bit icky but you go girl with doing Imax 2 :7

Kathy:

Thats what I want to do get rid of stuff we as a family no longer use. I keep telling my teens whats the point of hoarding stuff if they know darn well they won't be using it anymore. I seriously have no intentions of moving with it either and they know it too }(

Anyways though thats what my summer time has consisted of its crazy ! Little by little I am getting rid of stuff I know darned well I won't ever be using such as curtains, bed sheets, clothes etc.

I keep telling myself if I haven't used it, worn it or looked at it with love in over a year then its outta here.

I love liberating myself of clutter as it feels so good I just wish my teens felt this way.

I mean they still have their pokeman cards from when they were in elementary school for goodness sakes!

I respect their personal space as they are old enough and I realize its their refuge too bad they are not little anymore or I would've gone into both their rooms a long time ago LOL

Ahhh let my fingers shut up or I'll keep on babbling here

Vilma, it's so funny that you mention the pokeman cards, because just this week I was looking at the yu-gi-oh! (SP?!) cards all over the floor wondering how much longer I have to put up with them. I guess quite a few years!! :)

Great work outs, ladies. Hey Vilma, I was looking at what press play consists of, and it seems like it has challenges in there that don't exist. That is, something like challenge 3 on volume 5 or something, where maybe there are only 2 challenges on my vol. 5 -- those numbers aren't necessarily right. Anyway, besides the motivating talk, is there new material on it? I've been thinking about getting it because I like the idea of PP Saturday.

Joanne, the ice cream sounds good!!

-Beth

Hi Beth

Well back when CCPP 1st came out it had included the 2nd challenge of Vol. 7 which back then was not available yet but now that its been out that really was the only new thing.

But honestly I think the reason CCPP is so fantastic is because of the motivational sections, I mean thats what makes CCPP. Plus the cool down music is just for this workout and it always gets me when I'm just about done - its the entire package you get a great workout but the overall feel of CCPP is just something else you just have to experience it on your own.

If you can I still would get CCPP because the way they did that one blends so seamlessly from one challenge to another and listening to the entire workout one would never guess it came from other volumes, its for charity too.

I got mine early last year when Sean was still offering it on his website. Oh CCPP also includes CCv6 with Candace's relaxation section.

Not sure if this answered your question or not but it would be great if you join us all on CCPP days :)

Ok, Vilma, you sold me. I'll probably download it later (it's available through a link) so I can do it tomorrow morning. But, I want to do both ccpp and imax 2! :) Of course I never got to it today -- there was an accident on the freeway when I was coming home work and a stretch of road that normally takes maybe 5 minutes took 50!
