Cathe or the educated crowd,
One of my fitness goals this year is to incorporate jumping rope into my regular workout routine. I got the RopeSport set and after several attempts to adjust the rope that came with the set to the proper length for me, I started trying to do the demonstrated moves in the intro. For some reason, I am having A LOT of trouble getting my rhythm right in order to jump more than 10 repetitions before it gets caught on my feet. I'm also finding that even though the instructors say that you only need to jump about an inch off the ground, I have to jump a lot higher than that to keep the rope from catching. It seems like the basic jump should be easy to do (I'm not even thinking about doing the fancier moves yet), but yet, I just can't get it down. I'm used to being able to do things like this right away without much difficulty, so I'm REALLY frustrated that I'm having such difficulty. Any suggestions?
