The project will be done by next Monday. I am tired. I am sleep deprived. I am going to do a meditation, I don't have time for exercise.
I am stressed. But, the good news is that I have been working with my Boss aka my Dad and we are both holding it together. Nobody is biting heads off.
Interesting topic, I have also run the gamut of diets. I think I have tried them all. What I have learned over the years is just to avoid what plumps me (I haven't been doing very well there. .
) and to fill up on things that give me real energy. I don't avoid the carbs too much, I try to focus on slowing burning ones like double fiber bread or brown rice or even baked potatoes with a higher protein topping (cheese.) I do eat veggies, like squashes, carrots, or cabbages. I don't eat cabbages or cruciferous raw because it interferes with they thyroid. I do eat green smoothies sometimes (spinach, berries, coconut milk.) I don't drink a lot of cows milk anymore except in recipes. I prefer the unsweetened coconut milk for the lower calorie count and also the benefits from the coconut. For me the biggest challenge is getting my butt into the kitchen to cook and then remembering to pack my lunch and to stick to my guns and pass on eating out. Its hard for me to do the latter when everybody else is eating something that looks hot and delicious
I don't avoid healthy fats but I do shun the Omega 6 fats like nut oils and soy oil. I tend to avoid soy in general because of the whole thyroid thing and the excess estrogen thing.
For me a successful day starts the day before with food prep, washing my workout clothes, and a meditation before I sleep telling myself to stick to my plan. Without all three of those things it falls apart.
Jane- I hate putting away laundry too. Well done on your run!! I have got to get back to running.
Tricia- I hope the pups sleep through, that you get a chance to exercise, and that Stephen's software does its thing like its supposed to.
