Its a new month. Yippee!!

I'm in the last push for my project and then it should ease up around here.

My glands under my chin are still pretty bad. I'm taking it easy. Tai Chi, Yoga, or walking are on the menu. I hope the glands get better soon, I look like chipmunk.

Alisha - Glad the thumb is better and the project is nearing completion! I like chipmunks! They are so cute! I hope the glands are better soon though!

Jane - This is my favorite race too! Every time you talk about it, I actually miss GA, just a little bit, and it's always cool that you got your medal from President Carter!

I had Chinese class last night. It was fun. We learned 4 more words. Of course, the ones we are learning are ones Stephen taught me way back when he was taking the full Chinese course at Bryant, so this is just brush up. We are learning more about the culture which is cool. We experienced a tea ceremony last night. Interesting.

Had my review yesterday at work. It usually is in September, but I was out with my finger when he did them. Got a raise which was nice, but, of course, all the stress issues with my attorney came up and it's all ME. Sigh. Of course it is. Well, I did express my inability to know what to do when the attorney is telling me one thing and I'm in the middle of doing real estate work. No matter what I do, it's going to be the same, but I asked him what to do when I'm in the throes of a lot of real estate files and idiot boss whines. I was told the RE comes first, so, from now on, I will just calmly tell him to talk to Matt. He is our "office manager" and handles all the operations stuff. Yeah, I knew I wouldn't win that one no matter what. Just 2 more years and i'm out of there! I kind of hate to leave because the pay is excellent and so are the benefits. Oh, well. I get treated too separately from everyone else for it to be worth it any more.

I'm just going to do my job, work hard at staying calm and ignoring everyone and keeping to myself until I get to put in my notice.

Today is a new day and it's . . . wait for it . . . Whoop Whoop! HUMP Daaa-AAAAY!

Still have the sore glands, going for a short walk this morning. Then its data entry all day. Good news it should be the last day for this part of the report, then its onto accessible parking.

Btw. Accessible parking includes at least one van accessible stall in every lot and the access aisle is on the passenger side for a van stall. People get it backwards all the time.

Tricia- Sorry the 'review' sucked.

Yesterday I took a rest day. Today is a 3-4 mile run.

Alisha ~ I hope you feel better soon! I'm happy that you are making progress on your report.

Tricia ~ Sorry about your review. We have them every year but we don't necessarily get increases. I have been here almost 7 1/2 years but I have only gotten 2 increases in that time. I could do without the review. This company isn't big on them but my boss is so we have to do them. I find them to be stupid and a waste of time.

The Chinese class sounds interesting.

We haven't had raises in a few years, but they have always at least given us a small bonus. Matt feels we deserve it because we have been working on the smallest staffing all this time doing the jobs of multiple people. Some of the attorneys just don't get that part of it and think they are the center of the Universe. Well, at least I know they are going to keep me around. I only need a couple of more years!

I went to the pet store and grocery after work yesterday and I thought I was done with errands for the week. Doh! Forgot two of the main things I went for - aluminum foil and chewy pet treats for their pills! I got everything else. Sigh, gotta stop again!

Jane - Nice workout and glad your run was a good one! With the weather beginning to turn, you should have some great running weather coming!

I was getting ready to work out tonight when I got home, but could only find my workout tops - no bottoms. :confused:

Have no idea what's happened to my workout clothes as I have not used them in forever! Ended up cleaning up puppy pee in the kennel, starting laundry and dragging Peanut out of my garden. She has figured out how to get behind the chicken wire and under the greenhouse cover. Sigh. :mad:

I also did dishes. Frustrated that my workout clothes aren't where they are supposed to be. I put them in the same place after every wash and, yes, I've done lots of laundry since the last time I wore them. :confused::confused:

Oh, well, I'll have more time to hunt them down tomorrow after work. Ready to get this thing moving again!

Hi Jane!

Glad you had a great workout last night! I found one pair of bottoms, but my favorite pair is still hiding somewhere. They'll turn up.

We went to see Gravity today. It was incredible! Sandra Bullock was fantastic! I think it would have been more intense without the soundtrack though.

Stephen and I made a deal. If I can lose enough weight by December, I can get a leather dress for the office Christmas party. No matter what happens, I will at least lose some weight and get some endurance back by then.

sorry I've been MIA

We didn't have internet service for a couple of days, the switcher was broken, my IT guy has replaced it with a new one.

I'm still sick. I haven't been working out. I've been throwing fevers and my glands are swollen. I have been resting a lot. I did go for a short walk this morning.

Tricia- I bet you get that dress!! We always need some motivation.

Jane- Well done on your workouts. Glad that your sister is feeling better.

Morning Alisha - Sorry you've been sick! Sending healing your way.

I did 4DSHIS yesterday. Today will be a HIIT because it's supposed to rain tonight and I have to go to the grocery. The schedule shows a 30 minute run, so I think that will be comparable.

I did not do the workout I posted on Friday. I got home and was exhausted. I did run 2 miles but that's it. I didn't really have anything left.

Saturday was a rest day and yesterday I ran 10.5 miles. My sister ran 6 miles with me and then I ran 4.5 miles by myself. I will do something today but not sure what. I'm not doing any more heavy leg work until after my half marathon on the 20th.
 
I took a rest day. I did chores, worked with my graphic artist on this project, let the cat in, let the cat out, let the cat in again, and I took my brother to get his C-Pap. After wards we stopped at a chinese place for dim sum. Then he got a bloody nose (dry air) so instead of stopping at the store we came home for kleenex. Now, I'm relaxing a bit.

Tomorrow will be something relaxing in the AM before breakfast, either Tai Chi or yoga. The rest of the day will be inspections. It would appear that we have had the last of our 80 degree days for at least the next ten days. I hope that we stay here in the 70s. I love these temps, they are so great for getting some exercise outside.

My illness is not as bad as it was. I had a lot of hot peppers at dinner and that seems to have cleaned out my nose. I am drinking hot lemon water. My glands are a little bit smaller. I hope that I won't have another fever. I have a red rash on my face, it gets red and I just put ice on it. That seems to help somewhat.

Jane- What kind of workout did you do?

Tricia- Well done on your workouts!! HIIT definitely works as an alternative to running.

Alisha ~ I'm glad you are getting better. We are getting cooler too. It was 60 this morning and the high is around 82 or so. We are still in the 80's and will be for the next week or so. At least the humidity is rather low and the morning temperatures are beautiful. Relax and don't work too hard.

I'm sicker. The fever rash on my face is getting bigger and is very painful. I'm going to the doctor this morning.

Obviously, I'm not going to exercise or go to work.

Well, Monday had me getting home later than I planned so no workout. Grocery shopping gotta get back to doing that on he weekends again! Tuesday, we had Chinese class and my car died. The starter went out at lunch, so, by the time the tow truck came, it was 3:30so I never made it back to work. Stephen had to pick me up. Then, at 1 a.m. When Milo went outside, he got skunked. It was horrible! Worst skunk smell I've ever smelled! It got in the house (the smell, not the skunk) and I had to wash Milo's head.. Luckily, I guess, it didn't get more than his head. Peanut came down late, so thankfully, she didn't make it outside we Milo. Ended up staying downstairs with them for a while because Peanut was whining and raking to go out. At 3, I poked my head out and it had cleated so I crossed my fingers and toes and let her out. We went to bed after that. I spent the morning Wednesday before work stripping the bed and starting wash. The house reeked! It's finally clearing out of the house and Milo is smelling better!

Whew! What a week! Got my car fixed yesterday too.

Back to the workouts tonight. Did HIIT 30/30.

doctor appointment update

The doctor said that I have a virus. I took some benadryl, and that pretty much took care of the rash. So, I don't really know what caused the reaction. My mom thinks it was the nutella. It could be. The doctor gave me a script for super strong hydrocortisone cream for my face and she said that using ice was a good idea. The good news is I weighed 2 lbs less than I expected at the Dr.'s office:D

I will put in a half day at work tomorrow. Hopefully I will feel up to doing tai chi.

Tricia- I'm so sorry about the skunk! I hate skunk smell. Its awful. Glad your car is fixed. I'm impressed that you did a workout, I don't think I could workout if the house stunk.

Jane- Enjoy your trip. Great job on your workout.

At least you got good news from the doc! Hope the med takes care of it! I suppose a virus just has to work its way out.

I did 4DS Bootcamp tonight. I went in a half hour early to work again to finish making up my time from Tuesday.

Going to see Bela Fleck tomorrow night. Gotta get my workout in tomorrow! I have to stop slacking on the weekends.

Hope you feel better tomorrow and can get your tai chi done!
