Hi to the educated crowd:
Here's a question that just popped into my head yesterday and was wondering if anybody had an answer for it.
Its been proven that increased muscle mass leads to overall calorie burning when muscles are at rest, right?
However, my question is, does increased muscle mass lead to overall increased calorie burning when muscles are at WORK as well?
For example, if I were to be doing a high intensity cardio workout (ie IMAX, or running) would I burn more calories if I had more muscle mass, than somebody who didn't have as much muscle?
If anybody has any info or ideas, I would much appreciate it.
